journey's end

by from Mercer, TN

This little cabin is perfect for just the two of us! It had everything we needed when we arrived. The view is fabulous. Very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

Another perfect weekend getaway

by from Erin, TN

This is the 5th time my husband I have stayed at Journey's End and every year it seems to get better and better. It is the perfect cabin for a couple trying to get away from it all. It is also just close enough to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to make it reasonable to drive into town to go out to eat or go to some of the area attractions. We will definitely be returning again and again!

25th Anniversary Getaway

by from Sweeden, KY

This cabin was perfect for the two of us. The view was better than we expected from the pictures & was the best we've had at any cabins in the past. We had a wonderful & relaxing stay. The DVD player was not working & after we called the office, they promptly sent someone to check it & brought & installed a new one. This was our fourth stay with Mtn. Rentals since we started coming to the Smokies & the best cabin yet!

Journey's End

by from Birmingham, AL

Excellent stay again. This is the 4th time my wife and I have rented this cabin. The view is amazing, the cabin is very clean comfortable. Location is convenient to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I will be back soon.

Journey's End Stay

by from Greenville, OH

When we first came to this cabin in 2014, I found the mountain view to be breath-taking, we have stayed at other cabins in the area in the past, but I immediately fell in love with this cabin so we stayed again this year 2015. The cabin was nice and clean and the hot tub was awesome....didn't want to go home and that was the only bad thing about our trip was we HAD to go home.....see you next year, can't wait !!!

Awesome Cabin!

by from Indianapolis, IN

Such a great, private cabin with great view. Watch sunset from the balcony in the hot tub. Super clean and would like to visit again for sure!

beautiful cabin

by from greenville , IN

Beautiful views and a well decorated cozy cabin. This was a great place to stay and would definitely stay again. Conveniently located great place

Journey's End

by from Birmingham, AL

This visit was the second time to stay at Journey's End, a great experience both times. Excellent views, great hot tub, and well kept cabin.

Beautiful View

by from Waycross, GA

I really enjoyed waking up to the view of the beautiful mountains while still laying in bed. Swinging on the front porch admiring the fall colors on the mountain wS so peaceful. I can't wait to go back.

Great Vacation

by from Covington, GA

We stayed at Journey's End again. We feel like this is our cabin. The view of the mountains is so much better than the other cabins in the area. Makes me wish we'd bought the place when it was for sale. We will be staying again.

Great view!!

by from Greenville, OH

We have vacationed in Gatlinburg several times but nothing compares to this experience. The view from the porch is amazing. The entire time there was great. Can't wait to come back.

Awesome Views Quiet

by from Frankfort, KY

We have stayed with this group before in another cabin. That cabin was taken already for this trip. So, we chose another. Journey's End proved to be just as amazing. Great views and a quiet peaceful setting. Nice and secluded. Will definitely use this company each time and will be back again!!

wedding/ honeymoon

by from nokomis, IL

I would recomend this place to anyone who asks ... The staff was friendly setting up all the accommodations . We were married in a private ceremony with just is and the little details such as the cake and wine glasses toast and photography made everything memorable.. the cabin was perfect with all the little details that made it feel so comfortable and not like a motel room .. the romantic pagage with rose petals and chocolate and candles set it off . Good things must come to an end and we didn't want to leave .

Beautiful Cabin

by from Covington, GA

What a beautiful cabin Journey's End is. We have spent the weekend with friends before, but never rented a unit. Our friends recommended Journey's End for the privacy and the view. We were not disappointed. The cabin was beautiful, and just what we needed for a get-a-way. We will be staying here again and again. This is our new vacation home.

Back to my roots in The Great Smoky Mountains

by from Anna, Il, IL

This was my husband and my first time in The Great Smoky Mountains. We wanted a great view of the mountains and with Journeys End cabin we got more than what we bargained for! Even though we didn't see a bear, I personally felt the spiritual side of the mountains and reflected on my very deep roots in the Cherokee people who lived there and made the trek on The Trail of Tears so many moons ago. The cabin was high on the mountain, overlooking fabulous scenery day and night. Thanks for making our stay one we will never forget! Connie and Steve

Prefect Cabin

by from Birmingham, AL

Journey's End was the prefect getaway cabin for my wife and I. The cabin is very clean, well decorated, and very convientent to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. If you want a cabin with a view, this is it. This will be our cabin of choice for future visits.

Journeys End

by from Grove City, OH

This was our tenth year at Journeys End for our anniversary. We come for spectacular view, peace, quiet, the hot tub and especially that porch swing! One year we didn't even come off the mountain for our entire stay. Thank you for taking such good care of this wonderful gift that you allow us to use.

Journey's End

by from Cincinnati, OH

Very clean cabin with privacy. Equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

Great View and Seclusion

by from Hodgenville, KY

My wife and I wanted seclusion and a great view for a short stay that would allow us to catch up on reading and just get some rest. "Journey's End," a small cozy mountain-top cabin, delivered on both counts. As with many places in the mountains it can be a little tough to get to (I should not have driven my straight shift) but it is blacktopped to the door. We also had an issue with bumble bees who were busy pollinating the Rose of Sharon's flanking the front steps. But overall the experience was great. Recommended if seclusion and a great high up view of the mountains is what you want.

Great view!

by from Beavercreek, OH

We enjoyed the beautiful views from the cabin. It was very quiet and clean. The hot tub was nice to come home to every evening. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a couple's getaway.

Journey's End Anniversary Trip

by from Franklin, KY

Great getaway for our anniversary!! Very private and secluded. Very quiet and peaceful. Recommend for any couple to stay there!!!

Our Honeymoon

by from Frankfort, KY, KY

The cabin was beautiful. Scenery was awesome. We had a very relaxing stay and are hoping to visit again soon!

Journey's End...Awesome

by from Clearfield, PA

My husband and I spent our 10 year Anniversary at Journey's End. The pictures online were great but seeing it in person just blew us away. The cabin was perfect and the view was amazing. We loved our trip and will return again!

Journey's End

by from Greenville, KY

My husband and I stayed a weekend at Journey's End for our one year anniversary and may I say WOW!!! The cabin was impeccably clean and the view was AMAZING! Everything the description had to offer was there and in excellent condition. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could need for cooking and they even provided cleaning supplys. From the hot tub, to the shower, and bed room, everything was spotless. I did however have one complaint. When booking the cabin I asked if the parking space could hold our full size truck and motorcycle trailer. The staff assured me it was. However; when arriving at the top of the very narrow, very curvey mountaintop we had the worst time trying to figure out how we were going to get our equipment turned around and parked. After a few hours of slowly maneuvering the trailer we managed to figure out a way to get in and out. I would highly recommend that if you are hauling any kind of equipment to pick a stop lower down the mountain. Other than our stay was perfect!

Peace and quiet

by from Jackson, MI

This was our first visit to Gatlinburg, but it won't be our last. The cabin was just as show on the website. Clean and cozy. Just the right size for 2 people. From morning coffee on the deck to relaxing in the hot tub at night everything was perfect. Definitely making plan to go back!

Journey's End

by from Landrum, SC

Our time in Gatlinburg and at the Journey's End cabin was awesome. The view from every window was amazing and exactly what we hoped for. The cabin was exceptionally clean and tidy. Although the cabin is called Journey's End, this was the beginning of many journey's to Gatlinburg for us. The staff at Mountain Realty is very friendly and accommodating...I left clothes in the closet and they didn't hesitate to send them to me at home. We have bragged on our trip to several close friends so much that one couple booked a trip and are going in two weeks! Awesome time!

Wonderful get away

by from Fairview , TN

It's been over a year and this is by far our favorite cabin. Was very disappointed that it was booked when we decide to slip away and get married. We will stay here again and highly recommend this cabin for a romantic get away...Kay & Larry Hill

Journey's End

by from Deland, FL

Coming to Gatlinburg area is exciting, but finding the "right" place to stay, just makes it that much more pleasant. This is the "Journey's End" cabin! A view that can not be matched, coupled with a quiet cabin that is full of comfortable old-fashioned antiques, decoration-wise, is a great vacation package. The company that handles the rental is so professional! It is great to deal with a winner. Pat and Fred from Florida

by from Jackson, MO

Wonderful stay. The view was great, especially in the early morning. Loved the all wood cabin. No problems at all during our stay. Ready to stay again!

by from Penhook, VA

Had originally booked Captain's Quarters as our rental. Was totally unsatisfied with the rental. Called the front desk and asked if we could move and was directed to come right down. Loved the Journey's End and will stay again.

Spectacular Views

by from Alabaster, AL

A great cabin with spectacular views. Loved how the cabin was set so that it seemed secluded even though there were neighbors (but the neighbors were not “on top of” you). The landscaping was more than I expected and added to this. The driveway is very steep, but this is what gave the breathtaking views. The only real complaints were the bed was very “firm” (the cabin should have a more “plush” bed) and the grill was like you would find in a park and was situated across the parking pad from the cabin which made grilling after dark difficult. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, the fireplace and the views. Definitely a cabin we will remember for our next visit.

Response from Management

Thank you so much for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. The grills cannot be on the decks per the Fire Marshall so some owners have chosen the park style grills for safety and compliance. Thank you for staying and we look forward to your next visit!

Awsome except

by from Covington, LA

I have stayed in other cabins owned by the same owner, they were excellent. This cabin overall was perfect. One major problem the hot tub kept me and the wife awake. The hot tub is to close to the bedroom. Every time the tub kicked on it vibrated the porch. I will stay at the other cabins but not this one. The views were awesome.

Response from Management

Thank you for taking time to review Journey's End. We are checking into the hot tub issue to see if anything can be done to reduce the noise level. Hot Tubs do run to keep the temperature ready for use and the placement can't be changed. We hope you visit soon and again, we appreciate your feedback.

awesome views

by from Odenville, AL

this cabin description is right on. while the driveway will give you heart palputations it is well worht the view.you can see the lights of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. OberGatlingburg is awesome at night when your siting in your hot tub on the front porch. the only negative i have is the hot tub motor is loudbut that hum will just lull you on to slep when time. if you like quite romantic moments with your spouse, this is the spot to be. it is secluded above the other cabinsyou cna see other cabins but you are very private and can have very romantic nights.

Nice Cabin, Nice Price

by from Metairie, LA

Great cabin for the price. Very secluded. It's at the top of a small mountain. Parking is not for the faint of heart; you have to make some very tight/inclined turns to reach the cabin. Dont use google map to find the unit, use the map that is provided by the company once you book the unit.

by from Batavia, OH

Wonderful Cabin!

by from Knoxville, TN

My husband and I loved our stay here. Adorable cabin that was very secluded and quiet. Great view of the Smokies. The cabin was very clean, and the office staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!!

Excellent Cabin & Experience!!

by from Norwood, OH

This was our first stay at Journey's End and it most definitely will NOT be our last! This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was EXTREMELY clean and well kept (from the interior to the hot tub), and it was clear the love and personal touch put into the home. The views were amazing and we loved how it was "private" (top of the mountain) but not too far removed. Everything about the cabin made it a positive and memorable experience, and we are looking forward to returning this July!

Journey's End was Terrific

by from Metairie, LA

We had the opportunity to stay at this cabin following a visit to Clemson University.(son) It was about a 3 hour drive from the school and the roads were good. We have stayed at this cabin before but for some reason, it seemed so much nicer this time. Perhaps the weather was better. The cabin is very isolated , so you don't hear other guests at all. Very secluded. The owners have done a great job building this place and the interior really makes you feel comfortable and cozy. The view from the porch is fantastic and we sat on the rocking chairs just talking and looking for hours at a time. We could see Gatlinburg lighting up the sky but could not see the city direct. Kept the star wactching at it's best. During the day, I found myself looking for the OberGatlinburg tram and actually saw it cross over the top of the trees quite often. This unit is terrific and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away for a QUIET time. If there was any one thing that I wasn't prepared for, it was the added $60 for reservation fees and an automatic travel insurance added to the final bill. BE AWARE -- you can cancel the insurance up front but the reservation fee sticks. This wouldn't be too bad but when you only go for two days(as my time only allowed), the extra cost catches you off guard. Will still go back, but next time I'll be prepared. All in all, a great time and I've already shared my experience with my extended family in hopes that they can also enjoy this cabin. Hope this helps other readers.

Our sixth year at Journeys End

by from Grove City, OH

This was our sixth trip to Journeys End and it was for our 45th anniversary. Our first trip was for our 40th. The view is fantastic and so is the peace and quiet. It's our only vacation each year. A long weekend in Gatlingburg is like a week any place else. Thanks for being there and making it so easy to arrange each year!

top notch

Everything was beautiful and relaxing , from the cabin to the view

Journey's End Cabin

by from Cedar Springs, MI

This was our first visit to Gatlinburg TN. We were very, very pleased with our stay at Journey's End Cabin. The mountain view is spectacular! The cabin is very clean, not the least bit shabby or worn out looking. We could tell alot of thought and care went into the cabin's decor. It's decorated like somebody's quaint country home. There was even champagne flutes and wine glasses provided. It was almost perfect except for the hard mattress which one typically finds in most motels. I woke up every morning with a lower backache. Next time I go I will bring a thick foam mattress pad. The driveway is very steep but believe or not your car will make it up (in first gear)! I suggest arriving before dark your first day. We will return again and want to give special thanks to the owners who created this little piece of heaven. Lee & Vicky Thompson, Cedar Spring, Michgan

Journey's End

by from Florence, KY

We had a wonderful time at our stay in Journey's End!! The view is definitely the best in the Smokies and the peace and quiet was great!! This is without a doubt the best rental there is to offer!! The staff at Mountain Rentals made sure that our every need was well taken care of and we will definitely rent again in the future. Thanks! Nick & Sara - Florence, KY.

We had an amazing time!

by from Columbus, OH

When we were checking in they told us that Journey's End had the best view. We assumed that they said that to everyone, but when we got to our cabin we realized how accurate that statement was! We had a direct view of the mountains...to be honest, we would have been content to sit on the porch mesmerized by the view for the entire few days we were there!

Journey's End is a great choice

by from Helena, AL

We stayed at Journey's End for four nights. It looked brand new! The cabin was extremely clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. Everything was great from the hot tub to the wonderful view. It's the perfect cabin for a couple.

great place to get away

by from Albany , KY

Me and by wife have very stressful jobs and to find a place like Journeys End was a great way of getting away from it all and recharging us to make it though real life until we can get back to Journey's End.

Awsome Stay!

by from Russell Springs, KY

We have stayed in three different cabins owned by the same couple, Silver Moon,Above the Smoke, and Journey's End. All are great cabins but Journey's End is our new favorite.
