We love Mountain Chalets!

by from Frankfort, KY

This is the fifth cabin we have rented through Mountain Chalets in just 3 years. We love how easy it is to search the available properties for specific dates and rates. Also, there are never any hidden fees with this company, the advertised price is always all we have ever been charged. These cabins always exceed our expectations, which is why we keep coming back! Smoky Mountain Mist was perfect for our group of eight this weekend, each couple had their own privacy and the location is not far from the strip in downtown Gatlinburg while still being secluded. We had a family of five bears visit us this weekend, it was extraordinary! Thank you, Mountain Chalets!

Smokey Mountain Mist

We enjoyed staying here very much. It is a beautiful home and very clean.

by from cininnati, OH

Cabin was very nice. Family of 12;cabin was clean and very spacious. We had 3 cars and the parking space was very tight. I'll say no more than 3 cars can properly fit in the space. Isolated and quite. The ride up to the cabin was not as bad as I anticipated, I'll suggest that you take your time because the road curves a lot and its a 2 lane very small. The drive down into town(Parkway-Gatlinburg) was only 10 minutes away from the cabin which was nice. We stayed for 4days and 3nights and the price was very reasonable. Overall I was very impress with this cabin. I will visit again and I recommend this cabin to anybody with a large family looking for an affordable vacation.

Lovely home

by from Marion, SC

My family and I stayed at this property recently. It was wonderful. This was our 4th time staying with Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg, and this was our favorite unit so far. Plenty of space, and beautiful views. Home was pretty updated. Not much parking area, but we only had two vehicles with us, so it was not a problem. We loved that there was a lower level with a game room and sitting area. My children loved having their own space. We would definitely like to stay at this property again. Oh, if you have a fear of driving up the mountain, this one is pretty high up. We were a little nervous the first time up, but after that, no problem.

Our First Family Vacation

by from Madisonville, KY

This was our first family vacation. We are from Madisonville Ky. We were a party of 10, which consist of my mom, dad, sister, her husband, and 3 kids. Myself, my husband and our son. This trip was a gift from my parents. They paid the cabin rental and for the gas to travel. Dad will be retiring next year and wanted to do this with his kids and grandkids while he had the chance. We are a close family and knew this trip would be memorable. We had no problems finding the cabin thanks to the directions Mountain Rentals emailed to us. The cabin Smokey Mountain Mist is absolutely beautiful. And the view from the balcony is breath taking. It was clean. Well stocked with the necessities we needed. Using an access code to enter is great. No worries with having to keep up with keys. The whole community was very polite. What we call back home..down to earth people. The employees at Mountain Rentals are very professional and will do whatever can be done to see that you have a wonderful stay with them. It was a trip the whole family will be talking about for years to come. But most of all.. the joy it brought to our kids..PRICELESS! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Smokey Mountain Mist Cabin

by from Quebeck, TN

We had originally reserved River's Edge but the water had frozen and they put us in the Smoky Mountain Mist. It was a great cabin and very spacious. It had entertainment downstairs, however it was very cold in the basement so we did not spend too much time down there. The location is great if you want to visit Ober Gatlinburg or shop at the stores on the strip. One thing I would recommend is that there be a bag of ice melt in the cabin. We took two disabled ppl with us that were in wheel chairs and the entrance was nothing but ice the whole weekend, so it was difficult getting them in and out of the vehicle and getting them to the cabin. Overall everyone had a great time and we will definitely rent from Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg again.....very soon!!! Oh and please forgive us, my husband left our hotdogs and ribs wrapped in foil in the fridge, I am so so sorry about that! We didn't notice we left it until we got home!

This is a great cabin to stay in if you don't have small children it is right on the mountain side. It is a very nice place.

Very Pleasant Stay

by from Louisville, KY

The chalet was very spacious, comfortable, and affordable. I would recommend it for adults and older children only. We had a toddler with us and we had to keep an eye on her the whole time. It is on the side of the mountain and right on the road. Not a small child friendly chalet. We will be back there for an adult only trip soon.

1. Need new cookware.Skillet and several of the pans had burn stuff in the bottom of them. Made it very difficult to cook breakfast. 2. Coffee filter with used coffee was left in the coffee maker. Had to be washed before we could use it. 3. 2 outlets to the right of the sink did not work. Had to move coffee pot to the other side to make coffee. Also could not plug in lights over sink. 4. Could not get one of the front burners on stove to work. Everything else was GOOD! Would recommend this cabin to anyone coming up for a week-end getaway. Had plenty of room. Very clean and neat.

Response from Management

Thank you for your review. Housekeeping has checked the cookware and the GFI outlets were reset. The burner was unplugged and has been plugged back in. I apologize for the coffee filter being left and the cleaners have been addressed.

Moutain Mist Chalet

by from sanford, NC

We just want to recommend this cabin to anyone who has a family. It has plenty of room for everyone. The game room downstairs kept everyone busy, and the view of the moutains was beautiful. The location of this unit is fantastic. It is less than a mile to Ober Gatlinburg and at the bottom of the moutain is downtown Gatlinburg with all of it's wonderful shopping and resturants. We will definitely stay again.

Wonderful Family Vacation

by from Trenton, OH

We had 6 adults and 5 children/teens in this chalet. It was wonderful. Plenty of room to spread out and not feel cramped. The kids especially loved the game room level. The hot tub was very nice and clean. The entire house was spotless. Only minor things were encountered (toaster didn't work and shower would be scalding hot one second and freezing cold the next, but that didn't happen every day)...very minor things when you consider how nice and clean the house was. We really had no complaints overall. We would love to stay here again. It was very quiet and my husband saw a large bear crossing right in front of our house one morning when he took our dog out early in the morning!! We saw a cub another morning just standing up on the hill by our house. We loved it!! The house is just up the mountain from downtown Gatlinburg, very convenient. Very close to Ober Gatlinburg and close to the clubhouse, which was very nice also. It was a wonderful trip and a wonderful stay at Smoky Mountain Mist...we can't wait to go back.

Response from Management

Housekeeping is replacing the toaster & I will have Maintenance check the shower. Thanks for your kind review & we look forward to your next visit!

I have to say my wedding will be unforgetable. The pictures online don't do this cabin justice. This chalet was beautiful the view in the living room was great. The chalet was clean. The hot tub was perfect. Staff called and checked to see if everything was O.K. Plenty of room for everyone. There was plenty of hot water for everyone and I booked the chalet at the maximium occupancy.
