Perfect Weekend Getaway

by from DOVER, OH

What a perfect couples getaway retreat! We had a fabulous time! Beautiful scenery...wonderful atmosphere...peaceful...simply amazing. We will definitely come back again!!!

God's View

by from Granville, IL

My husband and I stayed here for three nights, as we were looking for a cabin away from downtown Gatlinburg that had nice scenery. This cabin had just that. It was about 3.5 miles up the mountain which was a little challenging at times if you are not from the area. We drove on a motorcycle and then rented a car as it was easier to get around. The driveway was steep but accessible by car. But, with a name like "God's View", we definitely got what we paid for!. Inside decor of the cabin was very nice and appropriate for a mountain feel. It had a nice hot tub and deck off the kitchen to enjoy coffee in the morning. There is also a journal in the cabin logging sitings of a local bear "Charlie" and when you can expect to see him. Although we didn't see him, it was fun to keep a look out. The overall booking experience was seemless. We used the early access code to enter and check out as well. It was convenient not to have to go down to the office. This was our first visit to Gatlinburg and we loved it. As there is so much to do, we would definitely come back again and choose a cabin rental for our lodging.

Awesome Romantic Stay

by from myrtle beach , SC

We did this honey moon after a year of marriage ( also my 26th bday ). We stayed 6 days 5 nights. First night ,got lost, made it to cabin at 12 midnight ,code would not work. The emergency maintenance guy called in less than 2 min. I was shocked how quick he responded, gave us code and we got in. To keep it short as possible, Our stay was wonderful, the place was beautiful ,the view was gorgeous. I can't put into words the amazing stay we had. The Hot tub was awesome!!! The appliances , I shed a tear it was great. Friendly staff, just amazing beautiful place and vacation. The only two things , the upstairs bathroom shower was clogged with hair so water was building up as your taking a shower ( this can happen at any vacation place and easily missed, I didn't make a fuss, I just got gloves and cleaned it myself ) I would still come back guys, it didn't spoil my vacation, lol. The second thing was one of the sofas was ripped and wobbly, but as we didn't stay down in sofa area that much at all, it also will not keep me from renting again.. I love God's View and I am so greatful to have come across Mountain Chalets of Gatlinberg, it was a true God send compared to other places. ** last not** Drive way was very scary the first night and on rainy days, and by the guest book, I'm not the only one who thinks so lol. Long Weekend Escape

by from Reynolds, IN

The home was everything pictured! The view, day and night, was wonderful! The driveway was certainly an adventure; however so are the mountain roads when you're that high up!! Our stay was very enjoyable from the extremely well stocked kitchen to the multi-cade in the game room (that was a nice surprise). I loved taking a trip down memory lane playing pac-man, centipede, frogger and more!! We loved the open concept of the home! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great Cabin!

by from Wilmore, KY

The service was excellent. The cabin was amazing! The road and driveway to get to the cabin was a little steep and we thought it killed our car....take the 4x4 advice seriously!! Overall...a great cabin and a great weekend away! Thanks!

Weekend Getaway

by from Mt Juliet, TN

The cabin was just as described and pictured on the website. Amenities were great from the hot tub, jacuzzis, well stocked kitchen, and the wood burning fireplace. No problems with the cabin at all. The drive up to the cabin is the tricky part. Definately need four wheel drive and chains if you are going in the winter with snow on the ground. The roads are very steep as well as the driveway. But that is the case with almost all of the cabins up this high in the mountains. The view of the valley below at night was really beautiful. We enjoyed our time and would recommend this cabin highly to others.

Awesome

Really enjoyed the resident. Very well put together and just what one would expect when coming to the Mountains.

Great Location! (but steep drive!)

by from Coppell, TX

Great location outside of town. Takes about 10 minutes from town to get to the cabin. I was driving a fullsize rental car and was amazed at how steep the streets got going back to the cabin. The car only had trouble with the driveway (very steep, smooth, no real traction especially when wet). The car would spin the front tires near the top of the the drive. Otherwise, the cabin was wonderful, great location, couldn't hear the noise of the city below. Charlie the bear made his appearance on a few days in the evening. Hot tub had issues but maintenance was there almost immediately to work on it. Great friendly staff. Cabin had nice and new kitchen appliances. The family room was very cozy. The view from upstairs, unbelievable. Would stay at this cabin again, thanks for sharing your home!

Wonderful view! Great people to rent from.

by from Ocean Springs, MS

Our family loves these chalets and Mountain Rentals is by far the best group to work with. They are courteous and friendly. Value is always outstanding. Overall, the cabin was very nice. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view is spectacular. The parking and driveway to the unit is VERY steep as is the drive to the unit, but that's the norm in this area of Gatlinburg. Be prepared if you're not accustomed to driving steep mountain roads. My family enjoyed staying here, and we would stay here again.

God's View in July...

by from Altamonte Springs, FL

Cabin was clean, quaint and quiet. View is good. Driveway is very steep and a little scary to park. Upstairs sleeping is a loft with no doors or privacy. Upstairs bathroom water pressure was scant. Overall it was a good experience and vacation.

Mom and daughters weekend

by from Louisville, KY

We loved the view and the chalet was immaculate. Single mom with 3 female children, it was convenient to shop everywhere. The driveway is a little steep...but the view makes up for it!
