About "Briarwood" Gatlinburg Chalet

This 4 bedroom chalet is ideal for those looking to step away from the city and into a spacious rustic retreat.

Outside, this home has a bright red wraparound deck, a perfect setting for outdoor fun. Inside the home has a uniquely antique atmosphere, created by a mixture of elements such as the large stone wall out of which the living room fireplace emerges and the wood burning stove found downstairs as well as old family photographs found throughout the home. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and a matching sofa and loveseat as well as a TV/DVD player. This area has a vaulted ceiling and the rear of the home is almost entirely windowed. These windows look out onto the upper level deck, accessible via 2 patio doors. The kitchen is fully furnished and nearby is a dining table that seats 6.

The main level is where you find 2 of 4 bedrooms. Each has a queen size bed and is decorated with an overall antique feeling in mind. These bedrooms share a separate full bath. Upstairs is the third bedroom, larger than the previous two. This room also has a queen size bed and its own TV and VCR. It has access to a private full bath as well as a sitting area with additional furniture. Downstairs is where you’ll find the game room. It features a full size pool table and den furniture. There is a TV and a wood burning stove to keep things cozy. Stepping through a patio door brings you to the lower level deck where the hot tub is located. Also on this level is the last of the bedrooms, this one also with a queen size bed. There are also laundry facilities. In season, you can enjoy all of the owner's privileges that this home has to offer, which includes access to nearby tennis courts and swimming pools.

If your group is looking for a spacious home with a unique look and feel, this chalet and its peaceful, wooded surroundings are just the thing.

The number of rooms and layout worked well for my family. There was only one bedroom that has a tv so kids had to debate who was getting that room. The drive way was a little tight if you wanted to back all the way. We had two SUV’s. Other than those two items everyting else was great about the cabin. Did have two different bears roaming around that caused a bit of excitement.

Disclaimer: This cabin was less expensive than cabins we normally rent so I am trying to avoid unfair comparisons. Carpet was very warn. A dining room chair was missing. Living room seating was poor-we sunk down into the cushions. The couches in the loft and basement were much better. Rooms seemed to be very dark. Newer washer and dryer in the laundry room. Storage unit in dining room was helpful, as there was no extra storage for food in the kitchen. Pillows were paper thin. Access to clubhouses was appreciated by the kids. Parking was good. We didn’t need them, but noticed a high chair and portable baby bed were available. We didn’t make much use of it, but the basement/game room was large. Our time on the porches was limited because of regular “visits” from a bear. He made himself at home on the porches (and in/on our cars), so we didn’t feel like we could spend a lot of time out there. His visits certainly added excitement to our trip. Office was, as always, very helpful.

I will let our owners know about your concerns and I am glad you enjoyed your stay overall!

Really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was well equipped and the way the kitchen is equipped was amazing. Rooms were very comfortable, pool room with music system was enjoyable. Bath supplies were great, except that there was no shampoo in any of the three bathrooms. Bathroom in the basement needs toilet roll dispenser. Getting into the drive way for the cabin was a challenge and with a big vehicle like ours, Honda Pilot, even more so. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly be willing to stay there again.

When we first drove up to our cabin, we were given a steep route to go up. It was kind of scary. Once we found our cabin, we talked to someone staying at a cabin by us. They told us a better route to get up and down. It was a lot better. We did have a problem with one of the tubs draining. I called the office and by the time we got back to the cabin the problem was fixed. We stayed in the briarwood cabin. It had a play pen and also a fold out bed where the wash room was. So there was an extra beds not listed. We seen 8 black bears while there. We will be using this company again next year. I would recommend using them. Very peaceful and relaxing. The sight was breathtaking.

Had a great time. Only wish the rooms would have had seperate bathrooms. Otherwise loved it.

We really enjoyed staying in this cabin. We had a family of 12 and it was roomy enough for us all to sleep comfortable and lay around. Hot tub was nice and the pool table kept the small children and even the big kids entertained. We saw several bears and the kids loved them. The only thing that I could complain about is there was no broom in the cabin, the plug ins in the bathrooms on the main-level and upper level did not work but nothing that would keep us from coming back. You are just minutes from Pegion Forge and Gatlinburg. If you are looking for a great cabin that is roomy and reasonably priced then this is the cabin for you. This cabin would even be great without that many people..We will definatly stay here again.

Response from Management

Thank you for your review! I will have our maintenance department check the outlets and provide a broom. We hope to see you soon!

Could use tv's in bedrooms, but overall had a very pleasant stay.

We had an excellent time on our trip to Gatlinburg. The house was very nice and very clean. Our only issue was that the hot tub was a little small for a cabin that sleeps 14.

Loved the Mountains

by from Piedmont, AL

As soon as I pulled into the drive way I loved the location, the beauty, that cabin it self, and as soon I walked in I knew we had made the right choice. My family had such an amzing time and hope to visit again.

Great Place!!

by from Acworth, GA

All the amenities at a great price! We had a blast at Briarwood. It was spacious and yet cozy. Enough space for 10-14 people without feeling like people are crowding you. We will definitely stay there again.

Great Family Vacation Destination

by from Charlotte, TN

We really enjoyed staying in the Briarwood Chalet. The Chalet was beautiful. With 4 kids it can be hard to keep them entertained, the kids really enjoyed the pool table, and we liked that the chalet was broken up into 3 levels, so it was easier to get some peace & quiet. My only complaint was that there wasn't a DVD player in the game room, and having one there would have made things much better. We also enjoyed having access to a pool without having to stay in a hotel. Overall this was a great Chalet for the price we paid. We also really enjoyed the free horseback riding passes, riding was the highlight of the trip for our kids, and we wouldn't have been able to afford it without the free passes. This was our first family vacation in a long time, and you made it well worth our time & money. THANKS

Had all my children under one roof for the first time in 16 years! Had a blast! Cabin was beautiful. Dining room furniture was wobbly and upon inspection, you could tell that the chairs had been repaired several times. Had a minor problem with the fridge but maintenance came right out (very friendly). On our last night there, the heating unit went out. Got very cold (glad it was the last night)! Overall, we had a grand time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our view was absolutely breathtaking. Would definitely come back!!!

Good Times

by from Wesley Chapel, FL

We picked this cabin because of the space. We had 14 in our party. It was roomy and everyone loved the hot tub and pool table. We also loved the club house with the pool. From the cabin it was a nice walk to the pool. The kids enjoyed swimming and the adults loved to lay by the pool with a wonderful view. It was very nice and relaxing. Can't wait to come back next year...
