Quiet Stay

by from matherville, IL

6 of us went on a vacation together, found this cozy cabin. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. Very quiet, loved the animals around. Will definitely be back in the future. Thanks for the wonderful vacation

Big Bear Unit

by from Cleves, OH

Overall the stay at Big Bear was nice. My only real complaint was the number of towels and wash cloths. We had a total of 16 people and not enough sets to accomodate everyone. I would think when I made the reservations that would have been sufficient. My only other complaint was the lack of water pressure in the upstairs bathrooms. Members of the family complained that they were not able to use more than one shower at a time in the upstairs bathroom.

Great Experience in the Big Bear!

by from Kendallville, IN

We very much enjoyed this cabin. It was all we could ask for. The only problem we had was with the road getting up to the cabin being so steep and windy, but you'll get that with most any cabin you rent. However, it was in a great location being just a quick trip from the Gatlinburg strip and the national park. We had ten people in our group and there was enough room for everyone to do what they wanted and still not feel cramped. Would definitely recommend this cabin for others and we plan on staying in the cabin again in the future.

Big Bear- Big fun

by from Roanoke, VA

We have a huge family gathering every few years at Big Bear. We always enjoy the serenity and solitude of the visit and have very few (if any) issues to speak of. The staff is very friendly and addressed our only concern very quickly (propane leak between properties) and our family had a blast. We had space for 6 cars- Large and small SUV's- but don't plan on having much space beyond that. We managed to host 18 people there and everyone had enough space to stretch out, but we will need a larger cabin next time! The trip for us was very good money spent and even let us see a few little bears checking out the neighborhood! I'd definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to have quiet without being too far away from civilization!

Excellent cabin for a large family

by from Burlington, NC

Excellent size cabin, excellent location. This cabin was perfect for our family of 16. Each adult couple had their own bedroom. The bunk beds were perfect for the older kids. Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Flat driveway was great for our cornhole and other outdoor games. We even saw a mother bear and 3 cubs right at our driveway! The 2 grills were convenient for grilling out. My children have already asked to reserve this cabin for an entire week next week. We loved it!!!!!

Great cabin - not so great for infant/toddlers.

by from Cincinnati, OH

We rented this cabin for Thanksgiving and it was a great location, tons of parking (flat parking!) and had lots of space. The set up inside was a little tough with rowdy toddlers (two sets of stairs, large stone hearth that connects to stairs, pool table balls and glass doors) but overall it was really a great rental for the price and space it provided. It would have been nice if the fireplace (gas) stayed on longer (it was on a timer) and if there would have been a broom and snow shovel around (I know it hardly ever snows but it did this Thanksgiving and we were tracking snow in on the nice hardwood floors).

Excellent experience!

by from Goddletssville, TN

This was our first time to rent a cabin through Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg. We had a wonderful experience. The cabin was the perfect size with great features for our family. I would recommend using this company for booking your stay in Gatlinburg. They are friendly and easy to work with. We will definately be using them again!

Great family experience!

by from Philadelphia, MS

I want to thank Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg for the wonderful hospitality shown to my family. ON the way to Gatlinburg, the company called and notified me that there had been a problem with the original cabin I had booked. However, the were nice enough to relocate us to another cabin that was bigger and more luxurious than the one we had booked. They didn't have to do that and I appreciate them doing this. The experience at the cabin was home away from home. The bedrooms and living area was large enough to accommodate my family and allow the kids to have a great experience. Hopefully, next time we can secure this same cabin. Once again, thanks for the great service your company provided. I will recommend you to anyone that is interested in staying in Gatlinburg area.

Annual Family Vacation

by from Hendersonville, TN

This was our third year for Gatlinburg and second year for Big Bear. We have a large extended family and the cabin was comfortable and convenient. The one and only negative was that the charcoal grill was in need of replacement. Were able to meet the owners of the neighboring left side cabin who were extremely nice. Sitting on the front porch we observed a mother bear and three cubs walk between units and onto the street. It was a treat. We will definitely stay there again. We had 5 children and they had a safe and wonderful time as well as 9 adults. Gatlinburg is always special!

Response from Management

I am glad you and your family enjoyed your stay with us here at Mountain Rentals! I have notified somebody about the charcoal grill and that will be taken care of! Thanks for your feedback and hope to see you all again in the future! Thanks, Brooklyn

family vacation to the moutians instead of beach

by from charlotte, NC

We arrived to our cabin, not knowing what to espect since we normally travel to the beach; we were floored when we arrived. The cabin was more than we could have imagine. The pictures online did not do this place any justice. We are planning another trip soon, but this time all girls no kids.

Big Bear

by from Hendersonville, TN

This is a wonderful rental unit. Have been to Gatlinburg over 35 times and this rates with the best. We had children and did not have to worry about the noise. This is a three level and older adults may have difficulty on stairs. I am 58 and had no trouble. We found ourselves in the rockers on the front porch often. Wonderful family vacation. One thing, Ski Mountain Road can be difficult at times especially in the rain. Be careful and don't look down. Will definitely stay there again. Rates with the best hotels in town.

Big Bear in Snow Season

by from Tampa, FL

Cabin was good with price and timing we visited. Only issue is service. There was heavy snow on Christmas day and had to spent 5-6 hours to get hold of someone to talk to and waisted lot of cell minutes. They could have atleast given recorded message giving some tips and worst case schenario tips. Hopefully they will improve in there service and managing such situation. Customer like me from Florida not aware of snow season and will require bit of help Please keep up your good work and improve service quality

Response from Management

Thank you for taking time to let us know about your stay. I do apologize for your experience during the snow. Our phone lines were so full that we were unable to dial out on many days. I do appreciate your suggestions and this was a difficult situation for everyone, we will continue to try and serve our guests to the best of our ability while creating memorable experiences. Again we appreciate your input!

Week at Big Bear

by from Fort Wayne, IN

Our week at the Big Bear cabin was very enjoyable. Our family and my cousin's family vacationed together; with all the kids, there were 16 of us. The cabin worked out very well for accomodating us and we had a great time together! The only issue was with the A/C freezing up, but the maintenance staff responded quickly to address that.

Beautiful Cabin

by from Gilbertsville, KY

My family and my husbands family stayed in Big Bear in preparation for our wedding in Gatlinburg, TN. We all LOVED the cabin and thought it was perfect for us. The decor and furniture fit the cabin perfect and added special touches all over. The big nice fireplace also made for some great wedding pictures! The only problem we had was with the hot tub, which for some reason kept kicking the breaker and wouldn't stay on. We called the number that was posted on the fridge in the kitchen at like 9 o'clock at night and 30 minutes later a repair man was there! The service was excellent, but unfortunately it happened again the next night :(. We told them before we checked out and they are suppose to be getting it fixed before our next stay! I would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Response from Management

I am sorry about the Hot Tub and Maintenance will take care of it. Congratulations and we look forward to your visit next year!
