Mountain Bear RM#3 - relaxing on the river bank (Pinson, AL) - 1/4/2012
It was awesome being on the edge of the river. The upper and lower porches with outside seating was very enjoyable. The cabin was decorated very nicely, the bed in the master was comfortable and the twin beds were perfect for the kids but the greatroom furniture (sofa & loveseat) is in need of being replaced. Do not plan to use the sleeper sofa because it is in very poor condition. The owner had left homemade pumpkin bread and jelly which was delicious. The unit was a little difficult to find because the GPS took us to the side of Grant Rd that had been blocked by the fence. Would like to have more detailed driving directions on the email instead of link to Google maps. Everyone that I spoke with when making reservations and also when having problems locating the cabin were extremely polite and professional. Missed not having a HOT TUB but enjoyed our stay.
Mountain Bear for Thanksgiving (Theodore, AL) - 11/29/2011
From the moment we walked in the door, we were immersed in the Smoky Mountain experience. Soft music was playing, fresh pumpkin bread was on the counter and everything was perfect. My kids and I wandered through every room, amazed at all the thoughtful details. Small things, like the walking sticks behind the door and extra towels in the restrooms made us feel welcome. It was the perfect backdrop for a memorable Thanksgiving dinner with the family. I loved it and we will be back!
Thanks for everything!
