Great Family Vacation Stay (Deatsville, AL) - 8/13/2010

I rented this cabin for our family to take a trip to the mountains. Mountain Rentals was very accomadating seeing that we had two seperate groups coming from different states. The check in process was easy, and the cabin was beautiful. We had six adults and two children, and everyone had their own bedroom and personal bathroom. This cabin was a hit with the entire family. I will definately stay here again if we plan a big family vacation again.

A Better Sleep You've Never Had (Winchester, KY) - 6/28/2010

I rented this cabin to accommodate my family for our yearly trip to Dollywood for the children. In the past I had rented hotels and motels and in each case there was a problem with the rooms, or the road was too close, or we were spread out too thin, or the toilet exploded with someone in the room, or trash left in the room from the previous guest and we were told to take it out ourselves. It was just a nightmare. This year my sister told me about renting a cabin with her friends for a weekend and how much fun it was, so instead of looking at more hotels and motels I decided to check out renting a cabin. My older brother turned me onto the Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg site and I fell for the Cozy Laurels cabin. It seemed to have all the space that we needed, when I arrived I realized that it actually had more space than we could have ever needed. The rooms we spacious, the beds were beyond amazingly comfortable (and that is coming from after spending hours walking around at Dollywood toting two small children, my nephew, and three adults, with all their toys they won). I never once tossed or turned at all when I laid down, I spent three nights there and could not tell you when I fell asleep...all I remember is laying down and the next I know I have two children and my husband jumping up and down on me. My back has never felt so pain-free in the mornings! The bathrooms themselves are spacious, but there lies my only complaint, the shower heads do not move downward--only side to side which usually is not a problem but in standing face-forward I was getting sprayed in the face without being able to lower the head. I am not short by all means, only 5'4 1/2", but I had to stand to the side of the spray and angle myself towards the water to not get sprayed in the face. The jetted tubs made up for the shower inconvenience though, it was the most relaxing and soothing experience, I nearly slept in the tub (plus the water kept its warm temperature the entire time I stayed in). The sofa's were very comfortable (and that is coming from my 5 month pregnant sister-in-law who nearly slept on them each night). The wooden rocking chairs did not feel stiff or uncomfortable like I had feared they would, my husband fell asleep on the balcony in one of those chairs just listening to the rain. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil that you could ever need, a little small for the three chefs that came along, but there was enough maneuvering room for the three top get their work done. This cabin blew my mind when my kids never once complained about being bored (they adored the pool table downstairs) and did not even want to watch their usual cartoons, they just wanted to run around (plus my sister-in-law brought some board games). I will NEVER stay in a motel or hotel while in Dollywood ever again, the price was well worth to experience, plus it was really nice to get away from the noise and hassle of the strip and just enjoy the fresh mountain air. Next year we may not be staying at the Cozy Laurels as we will have a new baby and possibly more family members joining, but we will definitely be renting from Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg!
