Fuel your creativity and forget your cares with an unforgettable stay at this 2 story, 2 bedroom chalet located on a hill.

The artist owner has made this home a hospitable haven for both couples and families. She has filled the chalet with crafts and paintings from many local artists, but her main goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In the living room with its two story windows, you can sit by a roaring fire (firewood is furnished) or play foosball. Perhaps you may want to watch one of the sixty movies in the DVD and video collection or read a book from the library. Because she and her husband had three children, there are games, books, stuffed animals and puzzles for all age groups. The guests will also find many money saving coupons for attractions, restaurants and shopping that come exclusively with this home. For nature lovers, there are several hiking and guide books. If cooking is your talent, the kitchen is fully furnished including special holiday dinnerware for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The eating area exits onto the chalet’s covered porch where there is a gas grill. The home’s two decks have plenty of furniture including rocking chairs for enjoying the view of Mt. LeConte. You can also enjoy the view in the covered hot tub or pull down its roll down shades for extra privacy. The master bedroom gives you another chance to soak away your cares in the two persons Jacuzzi in the loft area. Both bedrooms have king beds (the master bedroom has a special order handmade canopy bed) and there is a rollaway and full sleeper sofa bed. The home has two full baths, washer and dryer, cable and WIFI-wireless high speed internet access.

This home is located in the Ski Mountain area and has swimming pool access in season. Decorated for each season, this home is a perfect retreat for all ages.

Artist Nest (Macon, IL) - 8/16/2010

Everything was beyond expectations

Artist Nest Vacation (Auburn, KY) - 8/1/2010

I have stayed in Gatlinburg on vacation, in the past, but never in a cabin or chalet. The Artist Nest was the perfect place and I will always want to stay in a cabin, in the future. The cabin has a nice private setting. The decks are the perfect place to spend a quite evening just relaxing. We watched the moon rise over the mountains and saw some of the lights in Gatlinburg below. The hot tub helps to soothe the aches and pains from hiking in the park, or walking the streets of Gatlinburg. We enjoyed the kitchen and making our own meals. The full body shower in the upstairs master bedroom was a pleasant surprise. The steep driveway was a challenge, but just added to the adventure of staying on the mountain. We enjoyed our vacation at Artist Nest and hope to return again soon.

Awesome Place (Portage, MI) - 7/18/2010

My family and I absolutely loved the Artist Nest. Everything was perfect. We felt right at hom. There was everything we needed to prepare family dinners, a nice view of the mountains from the deck, plenty of puzzles and games to kill time when we weren't out exploring, and the hot tub was great!!! We will be coming back in the future without a doubt.

Wonderful! Will stay again!! Beautiful!! (Greenville, KY) - 7/11/2010

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! We loved the roominess of it! The balcony upstairs had some nails that were sticking up a little and my husband had me call and ask for a hammer so he could fix it. Within 10 minutes of the call the maintence man was there and fixing the problem. The TVs were older (but in great shape) and we could not use the component video for the PS3. We had a cable that was needed at home, but did not bring it. I only tell you this due to the fac, if you have kids (or husbands who like being a kid themself) you will need this cable. We went and purchased one from Wal-Mart, so it was not a big deal. The driveway was VERY steep. There is not a lot of room to turn around either. This became quite an adventure for us! After a day, my husband was a pro at it though (thank goodness he is a class A cdl truck driver). There were PLENTY of utensils, bowls, plates, pots & pans, casserole dishes, and glasses. The decor was absolutely beautiful! The downstairs bedroom was gorgeous and had a king size bed. The kitchen was roomy and the table was decorated beautifully for us. There were little helpful notes that told us where they recommended us to eat. The downstairs bathroom was a full size bathroom. There was a closet with several games in it, books, dvds, and vhs tapes. There were genuine feather beds we could choose to place on our beds, but we thought our beds were "just right." The upstairs loft was probably my favorite! I loved the master bedroom. The master bed was made from logs & sticks (at least that is the look of it). There was a couch in the master bedroom which was great for my husband and I to sit and chat. The upstairs balcony had a spectacular view. The hottub felt wonderful and we sat in it for HOURS! Thank you for opening your home to us. The "Nest" has already became our chosen home away from home. The bed was sooooo comforting and the whole experience was incredible. Again, we thank you and hope and pray to come back very soon! God Bless~~The Gaines Family~~

Artist Nest, A Favorite! (Wabash, IN) - 3/30/2010

My husband and I brought our young son here for a family vacation. We had stayed here before when he and I were married a few years ago. We loved the cabin, it is beautiful and the view is amazing! While it was a vacation, my husband did have to bring his work along. Wire less internet was suppose to be available, but never once did it work for us. We did call mountain rentals and they said only the owner could call and have this fixed. This was a major problem for us, since he did need this for work and it was stated to have this available. While we heard no word about if the owners were contacted or if this would be fixed, we were extremely disappointed. We were offered another cabin, but it in NO way was up to the standard of the Artist Nest. We were given a small discount and offered use of the internet at the mountain rental office. While it was to be a relaxing vacation for us, and a beautiful place for the husband to work it ended up being a lot of stress that made for an almost not pleasant vacation. We would love to stay here again and again but only if we are assured in the future that all things are in proper working order. I hope anyone that reads this does not take it that Artist Nest is a bad place to stay, just the opposite! It is beautiful and very comfortable....and the owners have done amazing things with only making it better.

Response from Management:

The wireless internet is up and running and I apologize that it was out for your stay. The owners were not contacted regarding this issue because it was the cable company that had to fix the line to the home. We should have followed up with a call letting you know the status of the repair and this issue was addressed. The owners are very particular about this unit and they do try to check on the home often and keep everything in working order, but occasionally problems can't be avoided. I hope you will choose Artist Nest for your next stay! - 4/23/2010
