Review: Had a terrific time in Gatlinburg and the cabin. It was warm for 2 days and then snowed the last night there. The kids (7 and 8 years old) loved the cabin, especially the hot tub!! Very clean with a marvelous view of the mountains!

Review: I highly recommend this cabin - wonderful views, fantastic game room, and the perfect layout for two couples. The hot tub was fantastic and every small detail was taken care of. I especially loved how make-up remover packs were made available on every sink! This was a very pet-friendly location and our little dog really enjoyed her stay as much as we did. We'll definitely return!

Review: had the chance to stay in cabin for our honeymoon and everything was so nice. The view was just breathtaking. Very close to all the attractions. Was not hard to find at all. The cabin was in tip top cleanliness. The only downside that my wife and i found is that the cabin didn't have any ceiling fans it is a cabin you can smoke in so ceiling fans or some kind of fans would have been nice. Other than that i would recommend this cabin and cabin company to anyone. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Review: This was our first trip to Gatlinburg and our first cabin rental. What an amazing experience! The hot tub was secluded enough to enjoy in the evenings and the fireplace kept the cabin warm while we relaxed away from reality. Definitely will stay in this cabin again!

Review: This cabin is amazing! The cabin is extremely clean, beautifully decorated, spacious, seclude from other cabins, and offers great parking. We stayed with another couple and it was nice having one suite upstairs and the other downstairs. I couldn’t think of any way to make the stay more enjoyable. The staff at Mountain Rentals is very helpful and had on the spot service when we needed it. Without a doubt we will rent from them again.

Review: This is the second cabin from your company that we have stayed at....and it was Perfect! This one will definitely have our reservation again. It was the perfect size for our family of 4, but could have fit more comfortably. The kids loved having their own king size beds and the layout of the house is ideal. We enjoyed the downstairs pool table, and the hot tub was in the perfect setting to look out at the mountains. Clean and comfortable, felt just like home!

Review: Black-eyed Susan is one of the best cabins that Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg rent. It is very clean inside and out and offers plenty of room for the entire family or group of friends. My second time at this cabin and will rent again in the future. I never want to leave Black-eyed Susan even to go into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge...I could stay forever. The outside views of the mountains off the back porch are breathtaking and artistic. Such a great place to relax and enjoy the mountains. Review: I am writing this review almost a year after we stayed. The cabin was a great little get away for me and my wife. It is a little out of the way and the driveway leaves something to be desired but overall we give it 4.5 stars. The only issue we had at the time was the controls on the hot tub were severely worn out (not sure if this has been fixed since our stay) and the fill hose is a little hard to find but once located is actually in a pretty good location. Not sure if we would stay in this particular cabin again but will definitely rent from Mountain Rentals again.

Review: i chose this cabin for my fiance and i because he is a combat wounded iraq vet and i thought the hot tub and jacuzzi tub would be wonderful for his back. we never got to use the hot tub because it was ice cold and would never warm up. it took nearly 20 minutes to get the water warm enough for a shower. the road to the cabin was terrible! i wanted to share my favorite vacation spot with my fiance since he has never been to Gatlinburg before...we were both very disappointed.

Review: We had another great weekend. The cabin was in a great location. Other cabins are real close but still felt away from everyone. The cabin stayed warm until the sun hit the thermostat. Then had to bundle up to stay warm. Once the sun went passed the thermostat, the heat pump worked overtime to heat it back up. My wife went to wash the dishes and the dishwasher was broken. And the ice maker has some issues. All in all, we did like our stay, and you can walk to the strip.

Review: Our stay at the New Outlook cabin was excellent. Seclusion, large bedrooms, baths, beautiful decor and a very nice view. The only problem we had was with the TV's. They need to be updated as they are antiquated. The one in the livingroom area is in terrible shape, we tried watching the NASCAR race and could not make out the running order at the top of the screen as it was too blurry. The color is also off and unadjustable. We enjoyed our week at this cabin, other then the TV viewing, and would stay here again.

Review: This was the first time we rented a cabin and we would certainly do this again. After looking at many of the cabins online we decided to go with the Artist Nest. We were so happy with our choice. The cabin was truly even better than the pictures on the website. We were so suprised with how at home we felt. The cabin did not lack anything. The kitchen was supplied with everything you could possibly need, there were plently of blankets, games, movies, fire wood etc. We did not have any problems with anything not working properly. The view of the mountains was beautiful. I agree with the other guests that the driveway was steep but no more so than a lot of the other rentals. Another thing that I was pleased with was the rental agency. The reservation, check in and check out could not have been simpler. Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg really does a nice job of making things easy for their guests. We will be back again soon.

Review: Checking in and out was very easy, the staff was very friendly. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable,the fireplace was nice,and the view was wonderful. I liked that the cabin is secluded. The only two things I would recommend would be to put a blind on the back door and replace the old, small, outdated television. Other than those two things, I would say the stay was wonderful.

Review: My husband and I love this cabin, and have been returning to it yearly for 5 years for our anniversary. We love the privacy, decor, and easy checkin/out this year was fantastic. Our only problem ever has been with the firewood. This year it burned well but we ran out twice. In the previous years it was too green and we had a lot of trouble getting it to burn at all. Otherwise, I could not be more please and look forward to returning next year.

Review: The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The bed slept great, and we really enjoyed the screened porch and rocking chairs. The decor was nice - not over the top. I appreciated the covered parking and the fact that this cabin was not on the side of a mountain. We were still elevated and had a view, but we didn't feel like our kids would fall off a cliff if they went outside. It would be impossible to access in ice, but we had great weather. There was a mountain view in winter, but summer leaves would prevent seeing past the back yard, which was beautiful in its own right. My only complaint was that there were not enough blankets. My son slept on the couch and had only sheets to keep warm, so we had to slide the couch over next to the fireplace each night.

Review: My wife and I have made Gatlinburg our yearly "long weekend get-a-way" for a few years now. Every year we try out a new cabin, but I think we may have found our new home away from home. The cabin was very clean, kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances, the wifi had great signal and was super fast, and the wood burning fireplace was beautiful and well stocked with dry wood. My wife was able to enjoy the Jacuzzi (I couldn’t due to a recent surgery) and our two young children (6 months & 25 months) had plenty of room to spread out and play. The location was very close to town and the grocery store is right around the corner. The only issues I had (and this is being very petty) is that the TV’s are pretty small (but GREAT picture quality and I’m spoiled having a 60’ at home) and the toaster charred a couple of my bagels (till I kept a close eye on it). Take my word for it… you won’t find a cabin this nice at this price anywhere in the Gatlinburg/Pidgin Forge area. We will definitely be coming back to this one!

Review: Upon arrival and entering the cabin, the decor was so warm and welcoming. It just invites you in. The views were great! The cabin was very clean (and I am picky) and everything in excellent order. We loved our time in the mountains during the day and playing pool and soaking in the hot tub at night after a long day at play. Away From it All is an excellent cabin to rent, and the keyless remote check in saved time that our family could get to enjoying their vacation!! We did not want to come home! Oh, and Ron the maintence tech was super nice! They had to relight the fireplaces due to the gas being turned off by the utility company for a leak further up the mountain. Everyone was awesome!!!!

Review: The experience in overall was great. The cabin is big, organize, with simple but charming decoration, and very clean. We did have a little inconvenience with the dishwasher but we call the maintainence team and they got there quickly to fix it. If your are planning on cooking for ten people, the amount of pans and pots is very limited. We also did not have a kitchen sponje, so that is something you will have to add on your list to take to the cabin. All the couples loved the cabin, the view is wonderful. This cabin is very close to Ober ski resort and also to downtown Gatlinburg.

Review: We absolutely loved our stay in Cloud 5. Our kids, aged 12 and 10 would have happily stayed in the cabin the whole week and never left. Plenty to do, games, pool, air hockey, awesome deck with great view of mountains. SUPER clean and just felt like home. We had been there 20 minutes and had some steaks on the grill when I went out to check on them and there was the neighborhood BEAR RIGHT off the patio! (so look before you go out the door!) Very exciting. We saw the bear a few more times down by the dumpster (which is locked) and in the neighbor's yard across the street. Super friendly neighbors as well. We sat on our porch every morning drinking coffee and looking at the mountains. We couldn't have been more pleased. It was very large for the 4 of us, but for the great price you can't go wrong. It has been 7 months and we still miss our cabin in the mountains!!

Review: Rented this chalet for a long weekend getaway - after the holidays shopping and relaxation! It was darn near perfect! Comfortable, cozy and convenient! Review: We had a really great time in Gatlinburg and enjoyed the cabin very much. It was super clean and actually better than expected. The only negative thing I can even think about is the steep driveway. My wife is deathly afraid of heights and she hated the drive up the slick narrow roads up the mountain side.(as it rained some while we were there)but after arriving she loved it. The place was very comfortable and relaxing. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice clean, relaxing get away, and definately drive a 4 wheel drive vehicle if going in the winter time.

Review: We had a wonderful weekend at the cabin. We got there Friday night and didn't leave the cabin til Sunday morning. Awesome alone time. I would only change one thing about the cabin. I would add a privacy screen on the other side of the deck. We didn't have neighbors but had there been someone staying there, we would not have been comfortable enjoying the hot tub. Review: My boyfriend and I decided on this cabin for a weekend getaway. The price is VERY appealing and I can assure you 100% that it is well worth it. The express check in was extremely convenient, we didn't have to talk to anyone which left us more time to enjoy the cabin. Review: Unit was very clean. The view of mountains was not that great, but that was OK with us as we were away most days during the daytime. The mattress on the king bed definitely needs to be replaced, but not a problem as we ended up using the spare bed. The location of the unit was close to town and very quiet. We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely use Mountain Rentals again, they are very friendly and accommodating.

Review: Nice comfortable cabin. While decking was a nice and necessary part of this cabin, I didn't realize the distance I would have to carry items to get to the cabin. Being in a winter environment (very light snow had covered all decking and steps and turned to ice after walking across it for several trips) had to use extreme caution navigating the decking and steps. This could be a major problem for some potential guests. While the marketing material states that "Custom multi-leveled decking greets you from the driveway and leads you all the way up to the front door of this hidden mountain treasure", I was surprised at the distance from the driveway to the door. Except for that, location was convenient to get out and go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge very quickly.

Review: My wife and I and our 15 month old daughter stayed in John David for our 4 year anniversary. I would have to say that it was a good time. I can see how some people say that the lighting is low but, we found it good lighting and not crazy bright. We enjoyed our stay and would stay with Mountain rentals again in the future. The only complaint I would have is that the hot tub was set at a low temp, that was not inviting for someone with the outside temp at 30. If you could change it, it would have been better and then we could of utilize the hot tub. Other than this, 2 thumbs up!

Parking can be tight at some of the homes, but there has yet to be any issues. Review: We did have a wasp in our room one night and found a bug crawling in our bed. I know it's out in the woods, but we had all the doors and windows locked and closed. Jordan LOVED the shower. He said he didn't want to leave cause all of it was amazing. We were in awe when we first walked into the cabin. There really wasnt any way to park safely at the cabin. We had to park right next to the house, but I feel like someone could have hit us very easily if they were staying at the house next to us. I had thought it was secluded, as in no houses around, but it wasn't, but we were ok with it when we got there because of how beautiful the view and the cabin was. The jacuzzi was amazing, but we had a hard time fitting both of us in there comfortably. All in all we had an amazing time stayin there and we definitely would stay there again. I loved it and so did Jordan. Well worth the money.

Review: While the cottage is about what we expected size wise, it was missing the small things you would expect, like there was no salt & pepper in the shakers, there is no baking/broiler pan for the oven to cook with, there was no matches or lighter for the fire place, no kindling wood for the fire place, none of the ice trays had been filled. These things are small but make a big difference when the cottage is 10 miles out and the roads leading into town are typical of the Smoky Mountains, steep and very curvy! Please don't get me wrong though, it is a nice litte cabin just more attention to detail would make a huge difference!

Review: Overall, it was a great experience. We called maintenance many times, and always got prompt and excellent service. He was very kind. They salted our driveway so we could get out and brought us firewood. When we didn't understand the hot tub, he came and explained it to us. The only negative things were: 1)That I had to call to get the directions and security code. 2)You definately need to post directions for the hot tub. 3)There were things that were broken when we got there, but they got fixed. 4)Provide detergent if guests have to launder the towels when they leave.

Review: We had a great time at Mount Vista. We were a little disappointed that the pool table is not regulation size. We didn't even use it. Normally, we spend a lot of time shooting pool in the evenings. We still had plenty of fun playing cards and using the hot tub. After 20 years of coming to Gatlinburg, we finally got to see it snow. This made the trip even more special. The kitchen stove seems to be on its way out...time to think about replacing it. There was very little water pressure. We had to stagger our showers and this ran us late doing some things. Overall, we loved the place and worked around the water pressure thing. We would stay at Mount Vista again if we needed a large number of bedrooms again. We kind of like moving around and experiencing different cabins. We keep coming back to Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg. They always do us right! We drive through our North Carolina mountains every time and stay with MRG. Thanks for another wonderful 3 night stay with you guys.

Review: We had a wonderful extended weekend at Mountain Star with our family over the New Year Holiday! The cabin was beautiful and was decorated for Christmas as promised. We exchanged gifts while we were there so it was great to have a tree. My children were in love with the basement and the fireplaces. Some of the mattresses were like sleeping in bowls and the kitchen lighting needs help. We cooked alot while we there (cabbage and black eyed peas are a must have on New Year's) and there needs to be an over-the-sink light installed really bad but if your not there to cook then it wont affect your visit. Bring food storage containers with you for leftovers if you plan on cooking as well. Also I know that the view from this cabin is a big selling feature but more curtains or blinds on the main level would help tremendously with the sun especially in the mornings. We were blinded by the reflections off the walls, floors, and other windows until after noon. We hope to be back in the future and would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to visit Gatlinburg. It was the perfect size, layout, and location. Just 5 minutes to downtown (& the Pancake Pantry)!

We loved all of the Christmas decorations, which made it feel homey and way better than staying in a hotel. We enjoyed the views, especially from the hot tub! There were plenty of amenities and provisions so that all we needed was stop at the grocery store. Two minor things: the firewood was wet (not green, just wet). Also, you might consider adding instructions for the DVD player. There was a nice collection of DVDs but we couldn't figure out the remotes. We hope to stay again in the future.

Review: This is our 2nd time renting with Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg. Loved the check in procedure this time! Not having to go to the office and wait in line to check in. Door code and travel directions were emailed a few days before you a scheduled to arrive, so you can go straight to the cabin call a number upon arrival and departure. That easy! The cabin was nice enough nothing fancy but clean and very comfortable. We were a little frightned with the steep road to the cabin and had it been icy it would have been impossible to drive down it. reminded me a bit of a roller coaster.We very much enjoyed our week in the cabin. We enjoyed coming back in the evenings and relaxing in the hot tub looking at the beautiful lights below. Our main issue as someone else had stated was the lack of a washer and dryer which was very much needed with a 7 night stay.

Review: this cabin description is right on. while the driveway will give you heart palputations it is well worht the view.you can see the lights of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. OberGatlingburg is awesome at night when your siting in your hot tub on the front porch. the only negative i have is the hot tub motor is loudbut that hum will just lull you on to slep when time. if you like quite romantic moments with your spouse, this is the spot to be. it is secluded above the other cabinsyou cna see other cabins but you are very private and can have very romantic nights.

Review: We spent most of the time visiting relatives in other chalets and the city of Gatlinburg, so we did not spend as much time in the hose as we would have liked. The set up was perfect, as was the choice of flooring and bedding. We are a bit put off by units that have mainly dark carpet and were relieved to find clean flooring. The only thing missing is that we were left with no dishwashing sponge and/or basic condiments like salt and pepper, or even sweeteners other than sugar. Review: This cabin was very nice, tastefully decorated, beautiful mountain views, wood burning fireplace and outdoor hot tub. However, I do not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle and I would be afraid to book this cabin in the winter without it in case there is any snow and/or ice. The driveway and road leading to the driveway are both very steep. I would definitely stay there again in the spring, summer or fall but not during the winter.

Review: My husband and I stayed at Comin' Home several years ago and loved it. After hearing about the New Year festivities that Gatlinburg has every year, we decided to come back and bring our children. We made sure to book early so that we could stay at Comin' Home again, because we enjoyed the cabin so much. Just as last time, we loved the cabin and had a great stay! The cabin is so quiet and peaceful, which is what we love so much about it. It also has plenty of room, so that you feel like you are at home. There were two minor things that could be improved. The first was that there was not enough hot water. I don't recall having this problem last time, so I'm not sure if a new water heater has been put in or why there was a problem this time. The jacuzzi was pretty much unusable because there was not enough hot water to fill it up. If no other water had been used for a while, then you could barely get it just past the jets, so that you could at least get in, but it wasn't enough water to be able to relax in. We would also run out of hot water if more than 2 people tried to take showers right after each other (even very short showers), or if you tried to wash dishes or clothes while taking a shower. The second issue was that they changed the bathrooms since the last time we were there. They took one of the showers (which I believe had a tub as well) out. That leaves the cabin with only one shower (and a VERY tiny one at that), and no bath tub (besides the jacuzzi) which is too large to try to bath a toddler in, or to jump in if you are trying to get ready quickly. These were both just very minor inconveniences though, just thought the info may want to be passed along for the owner to think about. Despite those things, we had a WONDERFUL stay, and would definitely come again if the opportunity arises. And as always, our experience with Mountain Rentals was fabulous. The website is easy to use, the service is fast, and the prices are the best around!

Review: It was awesome being on the edge of the river. The upper and lower porches with outside seating was very enjoyable. The cabin was decorated very nicely, the bed in the master was comfortable and the twin beds were perfect for the kids but the greatroom furniture (sofa & loveseat) is in need of being replaced. Do not plan to use the sleeper sofa because it is in very poor condition. The owner had left homemade pumpkin bread and jelly which was delicious. The unit was a little difficult to find because the GPS took us to the side of Grant Rd that had been blocked by the fence. Would like to have more detailed driving directions on the email instead of link to Google maps. Everyone that I spoke with when making reservations and also when having problems locating the cabin were extremely polite and professional. Missed not having a HOT TUB but enjoyed our stay.

Review: We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The only 'complaints' we had were with the stove and refrigerator. The controls on the stovetop seemed to be reversed and the lower part of the refrigerator had a lot of condensation. Nothing bad enough to be a deal breaker though. :-) Also, there are a lot of stairs going into the cabin, plus the stairs inside are steep... something to keep in mind if you have someone in your group with any sort of mobility issue. I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Review: we were disappointed with The Tower. the master bathroom upstairs had a leak that came through the ceiling in the living room downstairs. the wall paper was worn in the kitchen and the living room looked like some wallpaper border half way up the wall had been removed and had left spots on the wall. the tv stand was missing a leg. we have stayed most of our 20 plus years with Mountain Rentals or the previous owners and this is the worst one we have rented. There are not tvs in the bed rooms. The Tower had a good location and a good view of downtown.

Review: Back in October we made the decision to 'runaway' for the week of Christmas to enjoy some rest and to reflect on the reason for the season. We wanted to do something other than the traditional holiday agenda with kids and grandkids, other family, decorating and shopping. So with that in mind I searched the internet and found Mountains Rentals of Gatlinburg. I loved how I could see inside each cabin with the virtual tour in addition to the photographs. I eventually made my decision. The internet access and hot tub being the two main factors contributing to my choice. As time grew near we became more and more excited about our new holiday adventure. We drove in from Missouri and then stopped in at the rental office before finding our way to the cabin, the staff were very helpful and very friendly. Even though the website said we could just go straight to the cabin I am glad we stopped at the rental office for directions and also to locate the nearest grocery store. Gatlinburg was much more busy than I had anticipated but soon we were on our way to the cabin. It was very easy to find and when we pulled up the driveway and saw the cabin we fell in love with it. The best part of the whole trip was seeing my husband's face as we entered the cabin and explored what would be our new 'digs' for the next week. He was so very impressed with everything. To say he was happy would be an understatement. He loves cabins and really liked this one! Now, onto the details of the cabin. It was much more spacious than I thought it would be. The hot tub was awesome and we used it several times a day. Halfway through our stay they recommended having it serviced, and so we did. The only downside was that it took until the next morning until it was completely heated up again. So out of seven nights we only had one night in which we couldn't use the tub. That was quite alright with us. I used it every morning at daybreak and it was wonderful. They stocked the shed outside full of cut firewood and we had plenty for the whole week. We built a lot of fires! We were hoping for snow but luckily it didn't because (as they recommended) we did not have a four-wheel drive and our driveway was fairly steep even though it is paved. If weather had been bad we would have had some struggles with travel. My favorite part...the decor! It was absolutely fun. Everywhere I looked there was some wonderful piece of decor or antique. It was great. The home is beautifully decorated, but if you want fancy and modern this would not be the place for you. It was very comfortable and very very cozy. Kitchen was great, all appliances worked fine, plenty of dishes, coffee pot and dishwasher available. There is a wrap around porch on two sides of the cabin with really cool handmade wooden furniture. We had several 'picnics' out on the porch area. There was a big screen tv and the only negative was that the sound faded in and out (you could still hear it though) when we played movies. I don't know why it did that, but that was about the only negative of the whole trip. Out of the entire trip we only spent a couple of hours in Gatlinburg because we did not want to leave the cabin. We will most definitely come back. Next time we might take in a few adventures in town. They have lots to do there! Review: Let me start by saying there was no way on earth we could have imagined how magestic, tranquile, and peacefull staying in our little honeymoon cabin could be. If you think that sounds far fetched I am here to tell you it was all of that and more. We spent the first day in a half in each others arms not wanting to leave the cabin. (from the hot tub to the fire place we were transfixed). We charcoal grilled steaks, pork chops, and hamburgers every night and cooked breakfast every morning. It was our little home away from home (but without the stress of everyday life). Our cabin had a pool table and we spent several rounds playing until Chris got tired of my winnings. LOL. On our last day we called two times to see if there was a cancellation but it's new years eve weekend and we had no luck. A deep sadness ran through us as we had to leave our little hide-away. However, i can tell you this we will be back. We went to Laurel falls and Rainbow falls, Dixie Stampeed, the Aquarium, and the Comedy Barn they are all a must see. All i can say is Thank You Chris for the best 40th birthday present and christmas present you could have ever gotten me. I love you and love the precious memories. Sincerely, Teresa And Chris.

You can't tell from the pictures, but the windows in the bedroom overlook the mountains, and you can watch the sun rise from the bed. Even before we left we were talking about staying there again. We instantly fell in love with the cabin upon arrival! Misty Mountain has an incredible view across the mountains and is pretty well secluded from the other rentals. Review: Overall this was a great place to stay. Location was good, not too difficult to get to although would not drive to this cabin if there were snow or ice. Having the downstairs completely separate was good for the noise sake, but when it was raining, no one wanted to go outside to use the stairs - only way to get from upstairs to downstairs. We went the week before Christmas and I was expecting the decor to be of Christmas. This cabin still had Thanksgiving and Fall Decor - was a bit disappointed to not have the Christmas Decorations up.

Review: This rental was perfect for us. Small, quiet, and just right for two people to be alone for the weekend. We didn't need a crazy amount of space because it was just us two being alone for the weekend, and we didn't need divided space. The kitchen essentials were all there, but I would suggest new pots and pans. We cooked every meal that weekend and in usual ways. However, the handles of everything we used ended up being too handle to hold alone-had to use a pot holders in order to touch them. Overall, I wonderful experience and would definitely rent it again if we get the chance.

Review: This is a wonderful cabin to rent. The furnishings are very comfortable. The game room is great for all. We loved the location, being very convenient and close to everything. The pictures do not do justice. View is much better than pictures portray. The only issue we had was quickly fixed and was not a hardship whatsoever. The dryer knob broke and wouldn't start. I called the maintenance number and within 30 minutes it was repaired. Will definitely be back. Thank you for such a carefree, wonderful vacation.

No problems with the cabin at all. The drive up to the cabin is the tricky part. Definately need four wheel drive and chains if you are going in the winter with snow on the ground. The roads are very steep as well as the driveway. But that is the case with almost all of the cabins up this high in the mountains. The view of the valley below at night was really beautiful. We enjoyed our time and would recommend this cabin highly to others.

Review: Was my first time renting from this company. Cabin was easy to find with the included directions. Cabin was clean and well maintained on the inside. One downside is the small TV in the living room, could definitely be upgraded, but honestly who is staying at a cabin for the electronics. Hot tub was in wonderful shape and was very warm for the 20 degree nights. Also being enclosed yet still outside was very enjoyable. Water pressure in the shower unit leaves a lot to be desired but overall wonderful cabin. Will definitely stay here again or at least use the same company. Great customer service and check in/out procedures. The ability to get my code ahead of time to get into my room without having to drive out of the way to the office first was a A+++++ feature!!!

Review: My girlfriend and I rented Cuddle Bear for a weekend getaway and absolutely loved it. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and is just the right size for a couple. The heart-shaped jacuzzi is a nice touch but we spent most of our soaking time in the hot tub on the deck, which has an amazing mountain view. We used the kitchen to make breakfast one morning and had all the utensils we needed. The panda bear decor is a little odd for a cabin in the smokies, but the only real con was that the shower has very little water pressure. Overall, we were very satisfied with the cabin and service. We would definitely rent the cabin again.

Review: We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Cabin is much bigger inside than the pictures actually show online. Only drawbacks that I found were first they should have either a high chair or booster seat stored somewhere for use, and the fact that the TV/VCR is outdated. I understand most people could careless about that but there were a few rainy days during our stay and it would have been much better to have a DVD player at least since it is hard to find VHS tapes anymore. The view from our cabin was amazing. The drive up to the cabin was a task, but that was just because we were in vehicles that weren't really built for climbing mountains. LOL All in all it was a wonderful stay. The staff (especially the garbage pickup was very prompt).

Review: From the moment we checked in, which was easy and efficient we knew we had made a great decision not to stay in a hotel. When we arrived at our rental cabin we were amazed at the splendor of the cabin and the great air hockey table(great for the grandkids and grandparents) and the hot tub on the back deck. The view during the day and night from the front porch was beautiful especially when we were sitting in the rockers or the big swing and looking towards the great mountains. The whole experience was more than we expected and when we return we would definitely rent a cabin again. The only sore spot was the driveway which had washed out at the bottom and made it difficult to get up to the cabin, but we made it up ok each time. I spent a lot of time in the little recliner in the living room; it's the most comfortable recliner I've ever used. There were were only 2 drawbacks. The first is that the satellite TV did not have local channels, and as this was a Thanksgiving getaway I really was wanting to watch all the college and pro football games. Fortunately I brought my laptop and was able to stream the games I wanted to watch. And second, the pest control could have been a bit better as I did see a few spiders, small roaches and silverfish. But, overall this was indeed a great value for the price and I would definitely stay there again.

I will only stay in Gatlinburg with mountain chalets and recommend it to all my family and friends. The cabin itself (blue bird point) was perfect. The view was better then the pictures gave it credit for! This is a one room cabin (with a bed and jacuzzi in the living room), but it also has a separate bedroom. I loved it, it was very cozy but probably not good for a larger group. This cabin isn't extra fancy or anything, just cozy. But you come for the view and there couldn't be a better view from any other cabin! This is on the same street as the parkview cabins and the leconte cabins, all have amazing views. I couldn't recommend this cabin enough!!

Review: This was our third trip to Gatlinburg and the first to stay in a cabin. I wanted to be in Gatlinburg and we were so pleased to find Mountain Chalets. Their location is great-we passed it every day on the way to the cabin. Our view was incredible and we loved the fire place. Mountain Chalets were great with good information on restaurants and horse back riding. Our cabin had an awesome front porch and the beds were very comfortable. The water pressure in the downstairs shower was awesome and we loved the washer/dryer. The only thing we had any trouble with was the drive way when it rained. It is pretty steep. The keyless entry was also great since we didnt have to keep up with keys. We will definately stay in a cabin from now and will rent from Mountain Chalets.

Review: Overall the stay was great. There are a few things that could be updated (hot tub, kitchen sink, pool table, some of the decor). The hot tub did not get quite hot enough, for the 60 degree weather we had, it was nice, but if it was any cooler, it would not have been comfortable, and it was at its max temp. I would also put a love seat in the living room instead of all the non-reclining chairs. Or maybe just a couple recliners. Like I said, the cabin was great, I am definitely not complaining, just a couple suggestions :) The view was spectacular, and there is actually a small back yard for the kids to play, which is rare for properties in these mountains. 4WD vehicle is a must if there is any chance of snow during your visit. Large vehicles may not be able to make the turns into the driveway. My grade would be A-

Our family of 8 had a great time using the pool table, the hot tub, and enjoying the fireplace. If you are looking for a cabin with all the modern electronic devices and access, look elsewhere, but if you want a place for the family to get closer and enjoy time together, you found an excellent location.

Review: Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. Our daughter was getting married the week prior to Thanksgiving, and we had family travelling over from New Zealand to come for the event. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the wedding, and to have time to catch up with loved ones who we do not get to see very often. I picked this company as my daughter had been searching something that would fit everyone in comfort. The booking process, and the checking in and out with the automated service was very convenient. We initially had an issue with the wifi, but the people with housekeeping and maintenance that we called were very professional and helpful. We had it up and running in no time. The view was amazing, and there were still some of the autumn colours to see. The only downside was the traffic in downtown Gatlinburg (which is to be expected ). It was so nice to be able to come back to the seclusion of the cabin, cook a meal together and just relax. I can highly recommend this cabin, and I am sure any others offered by mountain rentals of Gatlinburg. I would certainly stay again, as would our overseas travelers.

Review: The cabin was exactly as advertised - clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The views were spectacular. The drive up to the cabin itself was a stressful, white-knuckle affair for the first few times (especially after dark)- but became less of an issue after a few trips. However, for the record, we're from the very flat part of SE Michigan where highway overpasses are "hills"... While the cabin shows some signs of normal wear and tear, it was clean and the maintenance folks responded quickly to the two small issues we did have (tripped breaker on hot tub and unclear operation of the fireplace gas log). The hot tub, while very basic, was both clean and hot - and as a hot tub owner myself, I'm a tough customer. Beds were unusually comfortable - much better than the norm for hotels and the like. I would recommend this cabin and Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg without reservation.

Review: We stayed at Black Bear Lookout. It was a charming cabin, "bear" décor throughout, with lots of room and an amazing view of the mountains and the valley below. Everything was provided to get us started (paper products, etc) and the kitchen was fully furnished - there was nothing we needed that we didn't find. We felt the cabin actually saved us money, because we ate a good breakfast at the cabin, ate lunch in town, and came back to the cabin at night for a late supper - this had to have saved us over $100 a day, with a family of 6. So be sure to consider that when you think about the cost of a cabin versus a hotel. The only thing I didn't rate as excellent was the heating/AC, and it was NOT bad. But the temps dropped to below freezing two nights, and while the upstairs was toasty warm, with a fire place and the thermostat there, we couldn't find a way to get the downstairs room very warm. But there were plenty of blankets, and once under the covers, we were comfortable (and the upstairs was a perfect temp). Be sure to eat on the upper outside deck for breakfast - if you are an early riser, the sun coming over the mountains is spectacular. We must have taken over 100 pictures out on the deck, and at least one will be our Christmas card with the children, that we will send out this year. Also, be sure to watch Channel 20 (I think), the Gatlinburg channel. I found a place to go to get some pottery (Adelwine Pottery) on that channel, and I spent a whole morning there (and way too much money lol!) I could go on forever - if you are wavering between this cabin and another, let me tell you now that you can't go wrong choosing this cabin - it is absolutely wonderful, and we will book it again.

Review: We were truly impressed with this cabin. The authentic look, the lovely country and cabin decor (bears, fish, antiques, rugs, quilts), and the beautiful stone wood burning fireplace(which they even supply wood for). The upstairs was a gorgeous master bedroom basically the size of the first floor with full bath and TV. Overall just beautiful. The only thing I would add if possible is Wifi and an upgraded TV in the living room for comfy movies in front of the fireplace but this is minimal compared to the beauty of this place. Review: We really enjoyed our stay at Bearantics, the cabin and the view were great. The drive way was a little scary and I would suggest bringing a truck or a 4-wheel drive vehicle when staying here. Otherwise it was a pleasant and quiet stay. Loved it and will be back next year!

Review: What a cute little cabin! Based on the pictures I was expecting something a bit more dated but as it turns out, it was better than the pictures! The view was great, everything was clean, and it had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook and have a little bbq outside as well. Will definitely use mountain rentals again for cabin rentals.

Review: The Chickadee is very family friendly. The driveway provides easy access to the cabin and made loading and unloading our vehicle easy. The kitchen has very practical pots and pans for use while cooking. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to staying there again.

Review: All in all the stay was wonderful. I would suggest updating the televisions and maybe some softer beds. However, we did a lot of shopping and exploring Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg so we did not spend a lot of time in the cabin. We love Tennessee and would definitely rent from Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg again.

Review: This cabin was everything and more that my husband and I could ask for. The bedroom was great with the soft lighting, the sitting area, and the hot tub right outside the sliding glass doors. The owners had made an info book that we found extremely helpful. And as usual the service from Moutain Rentals was excellent!!!! We will stay in this cabin again, and highly reccomend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay.

Review: Living in the Washington DC area, where people think that the door bell is in the center of the steering wheel; and working long hours to make ends meet is stressful to say the least. This was just what the doctor ordered, a quiet, well designed with loft bedroom, and beautifully decorated with bear items throughout. The bed is very soft, and the driveway is steep, but you should used to both in a couple of days. Being our first vacation that did not have family event in the middle of it, did not want it to end; My wife asked if we could just stay there. It was very short notice, but the staff made recommendations and accommodated our late arrival.

Review: Stayed here for an extended weekend. It made for a great stay. Pros: * The location! It was right in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge making either one really easy to get to. It's just about a mile off the main road, right by the Gatlinburg Welcome Center. * Woodsy surroundings. Loved the little brook that ran by it. It was a great atmosphere. * The cabin was comfortable and roomy for me and my wife. * Really appreciated the automated check-in and check-out process. It saved us valuable vacation time. Cons: * The wi-fi wasn't working. The access point would occasionally show up on our devices, but it would disappear quickly. I reported it not working and had to leave a message with the office. I never received a follow up and it never got fixed. That was disappointing. * I'd be cautious of the road to the cabin in the winter time. It would be a little scary commute on icy roads. The road up to it is steep and curvy. Overall I liked the cabin and I will likely consider it again for a future visit.

Review: My family and myself stayed in this place for a wonderful weekend. it was an amazing home with picturesque balcony view, kitchen was fully equipped it even had coffee and creamer. only thing was a number of lady bugs that were almost everywhere but that is understood since it is in the woods. it was so amazing that when we were leaving my son (4y/o) was crying and did not want to leave the place which is not like him at all. if we ever go to Gatlinburg we will definitely be going back to that same house.

Review: Overall we had a nice stay! The cabin and hot tub were very clean, but the cabin smelled like a dog had been in there. We also struggled getting up the driveway; the gravel was loose and the driveway was so steep. Other than that, it was a very nice cabin!

Review: The Smokey Mountains is our favorite getaway and we book a cabin every year. We stayed at Moonlight Ridge during the beautiful Fall season (October 2011) when the leaves were blazing with golds and reds in the Smokeys. The cabin is extremely cozy, clean and romantic! We made a few breakfasts in the cute kitchen which was clean and stocked. The heart shaped tub is a nice touch and the bed is comfortable. We used the hot tub on the deck every single night. Review: I have to say, this chalet has become our family's favorite vacation destination. We consider it our home away from home because everything we need is right at our fingertips. Among the Pines is the perfect setting for any Smoky Mountain getaway, it is set deep in the woods on Wiley Oakley Drive and throws you deep into the abounding beauty ane wildlife of the area. We started visiting Gatlinburg when I was younger, and there was nothing quite as spectacular as this Mountain Rentals home to warmly welcome me back. The amenities that the house has to offer are just as amaazing as the splendor that surrounds it. We were even lucky enough to be able to use the fireplace during our Novemeber stay, and can I just tell you....those memories will definitely last a lifetime. Review: We found the Creekside Cabin to be very cozy and comfortable. The bedrooms are decent size with VERY comfortable beds, the fireplace in the master suite was wonderful. The upstairs decor was beautiful and recently updated - with the exception of the kitchen. The stove is ancient and really needs to be replaced. We had problems with the stove top not working and placed a service call. The maintenance man came and fixed it promptly. The fireplaces are wood burning so I would suggest buying some fire starter bricks and newspaper to help start your fires. The setting is absolutely beautiful! The creek runs right up next to the cabin and you can hear it from the bedrooms. The bathrooms need to be updated but they were clean. All in all,it was a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend!

Review: I chose "Escape to a View" because of the positive ratings on this site. This home is fantastic - it's clean, well kept, and not to mention the great location (about 10 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg). The view alone is worth the price. After our frist night I promptly called the rental office to extend our stay here. We had a problem with the Internet not working, but the maintenance guy was prompt and friendly. After breakfast one morning, we watched a bear and her three cubs tear up the trashcan out front. Amazing.

Review: This cabin served it's purpose above and beyond my husband and I's expectations! We were spending a week celebrating four years of marriage and A Lover's Den was private enough for getting away from the busy-ness of civilization, yet close enough to downtown Gatlinburg for a day of exploration. If we had any issues (i.e. trash can needing to be emptied) the staff was professional, friendly, and expedient in dealing with it. If you're planning on staying at A Lover's Den, book during or near a full moon - the skylights over the bed allow you to view the moon light like you're laying outside under the stars...Magical!

Review: Our experience with this cabin was wonderful. The view was gorgeous and the cabin was beautiful inside. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, porch swing, and jacuzzi tub. The cabin was the perfect distance between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Our overall experience was fantastic. We loved express check-in and check-out. My only suggestion is to use caution coming up the steep road to the cabin at night.

Review: We had a great stay at this cabin. Fully furnished and plenty of towels,blankets and pillows. Also plenty of dishes and eating utensils in the cabin. Inside jacuzzi is nice and room enough for 2 people. A small negative is the TV's are small in the bedrooms. The driveway is rather steep as are numerous of the cabins in the mountains. Difficult to turn around at the top if you have a large vehicle or truck. Overall stay and atmosphere was great and private.

This cabin is located on a dead end road so theres not a lot of travel on this road but you can get ready for the wildlife...Don't be surprised by the BEARS...... Review: This was our second trip to the Smokies, our second stay with Mountain Rentals, and our second stay in a Guy Cabin. The folks who own these cabins (8 I think) are wonderful people who care, and whose attention to detail in each of their cabins is incredible. The love and thought put into the decor is obvious everywhere you look. They thought of everything!, and it shows. Our stay was terrific, the views beautiful, and the weather warm. The Mountain Rentals office is a real pleasure to work with, each employee more than capable and most willing to help with directions, questions, suggestions,etc. Don't even think of staying with any other company - these folks are simply the best in the Smokies. Review: This cabin would be great for two couples or a small faimily. It is only a 5 minute drive to all the craft shops and downtown gatlinburg.If you want to watch tv on youre vacaation this cabin is not for you because every tv is 19 inches or smaller tube style. Review: cabin overall was clean and adequately appointed. Very hard to find particularly at night. googlemaps directions were not very helpful as many of the actual road signage did not match the road names on googlemaps requiring several stops for directions from locals. The hottub did not work during the visit. motor at first blew out, then the master electric board failed. office sent service person with a few hours to address the problem, but of course a repair of that nature could not be completed during the time of our stay. First time renting with this company, may try again at another time.

Review: As a family we have rented multiple times with this company. The rentals are cute and in the perfect location for relaxing. Right on the river with beautiful trees around for that "back to nature" feel. The beds could be upgraded and the internet could be faster, but that is seriously our only beef(s). The rentals are clean and kitchens stalked with everything a family might need for a weekend of cooking/grilling out. The country decor is very becoming of the cabins and it seems the owners like to add a touch of season to the decor (pumpkins and a cute ghost joined us). I would highly recommend the rentals to anyone looking for a home away from home. Lovely and relaxing.

Review: I just returned home after a fabulous week in Gatlinburg with my family. We loved our cabin. It was the perfect size for us. It was really close to downtown Gatlinburg, about a 5 minute drive. The road up to the cabin was a little steep, but we had no problems with it. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The only issue we had was a door knob fell off, but it was quickly fixed by maintenance. I would definitely stay at this cabin again. We loved it.

Review: This is a fantastic little cabin for two that provided us with the feeling of peace and seclusion that we were looking for. The view is fantastic and quite expansive, with breathtaking views on two sides of the cabin. The bed was very comfortable, and both the outdoor hot tub and indoor whirlpool were nice to have after long hikes in the national park. The gas-powered fireplace meant cozy fires whenever we wanted them. The kitchenette is small but functional, but we made ourselves plenty of delicious meals during our stay. One thing that could be improved is the cookware (the non-stick pans have lost their "non-stickiness", and our french toast and scrambled eggs were sticking like crazy). A washer and dryer would also be nice, but then this is just a small single-bedroom cabin and is not necessarily to be expected. All in all, this is a fantastic little getaway place with all the peace, quiet, and breathtaking vistas you could ask for. Highly recommended!

Review: This cabin served as the base for a Fall Color Getaway, and as such worked very well. It's location very close to Gatlinburg downtown area and the Park made it great for getting around without spending all your time fighting the traffic. The natural beauty of this area is hard to beat in the fall. This cabin is placed in amongst others, but is oriented so that you are afforded complete privacy. You also get a decent view of the mountains off the deck in back through the trees. The location is just a short drive off the main road. Everything inside was as advertised and I had no mechanical problems with anything. The kitchen is pretty well supplied, but you will want to bring any specialty cookware you may need. Also remember matches/lighter for the grill and fireplace.

Review: We wanted a mountain get away to celebrate a birthday. We found the cabin about a month out and loved it and the price immediately. We drove in from GA to find the leaves were absolutely beautiful even through the rain. Yes, we unfortunately had rain the first 2 days of the trip and chilly weather but still managed to find ways to occupy our time with shopping, restaurants and hot tub (both indoor and outdoor). I loved the keyless check in system. The parking at the cabin was a little tight but not a problem. We mastered it by the end of the trip. The last 2 days of our stay were gorgeous...sunny and crisp. We played golf at Laurel Valley Country Club one day...breathe taking views! We had a very enjoyable stay...loved the cabin and would definitely stay there again.

Review: Mountain Delight is an excellent cabin. We will definately be staying here again. The teenagers loved the basement with two bedrooms and their own bathroom, pool table, and their own t.v.. Not to mention this was great for a little quiet time for the parents. The kids loved it, I loved it! Also, this cabin is on a quiet dead end road, so there is hardly any traffic. Great scenic view of the mountains. The cabin was very clean and the decor was great. The driveway was very nice, being that it wasn't on a steep hill like some other cabins I saw. Review: Our stay was wonderful and probably couldn't have been much better. Earlier reviews noted problems with parking and with steep stairs inside the cabin, which both were apparent. However, at our age (45-50 range) these were not a problem; 15 years from now, perhaps so. Accommodations were just what we were looking for, for our fall vacation. Had one problem with the washer our last night there, and we had a member of the staff there within 20 mins of the call. We loved the authenticity of the cabin, the layout, the seclusion, and the view. Looking forward to our next opportunity to stay in this unit. Great!

Review: We stayed at Black Bear Bungalow on Halloween Weekend,which started out very rainy. The biggest challenge was the driveway, which was very slick due to leaves and rain,. Also the entrance to the driveways to this and other cabins is narrow and has potholes on either side, which will be fine if they are fixed. Needs to be wider. We called maintenance and they came out right away and blew all the leaves off the driveway, which we appreciated greatly. They commented that they've been after the owner to fix and improve the driveway entrance. Excellent service from Mountain Rentals. All in all, the Cabin was very nice. Everything was clean and in excellent condition. The fireplaces were nice, although the flames were set pretty low. The hot tub was great. Overall the cabin was great and we definitely would stay here again. One drawback is that the cabin is located in a cluster of 5 or six other cabins, so if you're looking for total privacy, this isn't for you. However, only one of them was occupied this weekend, so it wasn't an big deal. One added note for the owner: Time to update the TV's. The one over the fireplace is too small to be viewed at a distance. May be time to consider replacements. We hope to rent this one next fall, with a few tweaks. We really liked it.

Review: We rented this cabin to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. For just the two of us, the cabin was plenty large enough. Everything seemed clean and the kitchen was well equipped for the two dinners that we prepared. One highlight about this cabin is that it is very quiet and secluded which my wife and I greatly enjoyed. The only downsides to this cabin is that there were not any drapes/blinds in the master bedroom. This may be because the cabin is fairly secluded, but the privacy option would still have been nice. Also, the hot water seemed to run out when filling the indoor Jacuzzi. Otherwise, we were very pleased with this cabin.

Review: My experience with Mountain Rentals was overall good. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable! Bavarian Bliss cabin was a nice cabin. A few disappointment was the location was not described well at all. It says 3.7mi from downtown, but doesn't explain the incline of the roads you must take. Also the way the roads are you have to drive pass your road and turn around on a one lane road (not easy) then accelerate just to make it up the driveway that is straight up, when leaving the cabin, you can only pull out of drive half way and then you must back up to make the turn or go over the mountain. The cabin was very nice but will not stay at this one due to the roads and incline of drive. I drive a 2009 minivan and smelt the oil burning every time we went back to the cabin.

Review: Reserved the GReenbriar cabin on the Internet. Upon arrival we we very disappointed in the condition of the cabin. Called the office at 9:00pm spoke to Patrick, he was very nice and understanding and asked us to come in in the morning so we could change cabins. Review: The Smokey Mountains are the most beautiful place to enjoy the autumn colors. What a show! We really enjoyed our stay at Bear Footing.The location of this cabin was good for us because, we came on a motorcycle. We didn't have to ride up and down steep mountain roads to get there and the parking area was level,too. Everything was clean and working good. The only thing that would be nice is if the sleeping area had doors to separate it from the living area, so when somebody gets up early the one that's still sleeping doesn't get bothered. Review: I am a first time cabin renter and Gatlinburg visitor. This cabin was awesome. Clean as a wistle. More than me or my grlfriend expected. Convenient, .3 miles from the strip of shops and the national park nature trail. That's only a 5 minute walk to get were you're going. Way easier than paying for parking. The cabin itself is very, very nice. The cabin has the best location of all the other cabins in the area. Everything needed was provided. We called the office to get tickets to a popular show, hours before it started. They made the calls and reserved us preferd seating but still offered the discount(for regular seating only). We had an awesome stay. Recomended.

Review: Upsides: Overall, we enjoyed our stay in room #305. For the price, it is just about impossible to beat. We didn't want to stay in a cheap motel, but even low end hotels were around $150 a night. Room #305 was price right in between and offered a kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, a GREAT VIEW, an indoor pool and clubhouse room, and most importantly - the room was very, very clean. We stayed for two nights, and with the $60 rental fee it was basically like paying $100 per night plus taxes. Pretty hard to beat for all of that. Downsides: This is not a chalet or cabin, this is a condo. If you are expecting a cabin, this isn't for you. We also could not connect to the internet in the condo, the nearest wireless router was out of range despite the listing saying that it does have internet. Had we been staying longer, it would have been nice if the electronics in the room were a little more up-to-date - only two standard TVs and a VCR/DVD player. The VCR side didn't work. Wrap Up: Great room for the money! Where else are you going to find a room with an indoor pool, full kitchen, and two bedrooms/bathrooms for $100 a night in October in Gatlinburg?

The owners have replaced the refrigerator with one that includes an automatic ice maker, the fans will be replaced on their next visit as they are currently looking for new ones. The beds were found to be in good condition, it can be difficult to find a happy medium between firm or soft selections as people have different preferences. The sofas were replaced last year and the microwave does have a removable turn table if it is not placed evenly on the rotator it will vibrate. Unfortunately, the dishwasher is loud and has been that way since purchase. Again, we appreciate your review and the owners have tried to address as many items as possible to make their guests more comfortable.

Review: We enjoyed our recent get-away from the Florida heat, and took advantage of a nice soak in the hot tub. Unfortunately, the living room furniture was "well" used, and difficult to even get out of, and the beds were of a very poor quality. This unit needs some new fixtures as the fans sounded like they were going to fly apart, and the appliances worked, but just barely. The microwave had no turntable, and rocked so bad it spilled coffee, the dishwasher could wake the dead, and the refrig barely kept the food cold, even after a service call, and the fill your own ice cubes wouldn't freeze. I think the owners of the unit should take it off rental, and put some money into newer furnishings, appliances, and flooring. For the monies paid, we were expecting a little better quality.

Review: We really liked this Chalet. The set-up of the rooms is perfect! The hot tub was very nice. Great back deck with patio furniture. Perfect for a bar-b-que! The house was spacious and very accomodating. The rooms at each side of the house would be perfect for two couples to stay and still have their own space, or for a family so the kids could be in one room on one side of the house, and the parents on the other. Decor was nice. Great bathrooms and Showers! Laundry room was really handy too. I have stayed at Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg several times and this is by far the best cabin I have stayed in! Review: Once we arrived and unpacked we strolled around and explored the massive "cabin". The property is very well maintained and comfortable. Everything worked and we enjoyed our stay. The view is wonderful and it is very quiet and peaceful. No bears visited us. Lots of chipmunks darted around. The HVAC maintains a very comfortable environment. The deck had lots of acorns but the oak tree overhangs an area. All the appliances are in good condition and we used them. The beds were softer than those we have but we did sleep all through the night. The driveway caused us pause until we were able to check it out. It angles down to the property abruptly as you might expect on a mountain side. This is to be expected and I decided to back our van down into the parking space while my son, in a car, was able to make a hard right and park next to the van. While the cabin is very neat and tidy it has a very high ceiling in the den and there are some cob webs in the clerestory. Again, to be expected. We loved the stay and have never been disappointed with the service and rentals with mountain chalets.

Review: This was a last minute booking for us, and boy did we luck out. The Gatlinburg Overlook is exactly as depicted in the pictures. Lots of space, very nicely decorated, very new, and very clean. The best part of all is the location, just 1 light from downtown Gatlinburg, this couldn't be more convenient. I will say though that if you're serious about your pool game or TV, this probably isn't the cabin for you. The pool table was fun for the kids, but it has a pretty good lean that will frustrate you if you take your pool too seriously :) Also, there were plenty of televisions with dvd players and cable, but they were mostly small and older (but, seriously, you probably aren't coming to Gatlinburg to watch TV anyway, right?) Overall, this was an awesome cabin with a beautiful view of the smokies. I would definitely stay here again.

Review: We came to get away from our hectic lives in Florida for a long weekend in the mountains (two adults and two children, ages 4 and 10). The rental unit was clean, comfortable and calming, just what we needed. All of us enjoyed the hot tub; the views from the decks are wonderful; and the trip back into town was quite short. Yes, the driveway is steep, so are the roads leading to the area, but is wasn't a deal breaker. The floors are squeaky, especially on the stairs and in the master bedroom upstairs. That would be better if fixed, but nothing major. Overall though, the property was close enough, far away enough and comfortable enough for our whole family. Would stay again!

Review: The stay at the cabin was wonderful, it provided a refuge from the crowds we encountered on this trip. When we visited during the same time frame in 2000 (celebrating our 25th anniversary) there were crowds of people but not like this trip. We had everything we needed right there in the cabin and everything was in good working order.I was very impressed at how well maintained that Rocky Pointe is, it is pretty much the same as it was when we first stayed there, 11 years ago. The hot tub and Jacuzzi were just what we needed after a stress filled day out and about. Not to mention, being St. Louis Cardinal fans, it was great watching game one of the world series from the Jacuzzi. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a memorable 36th year anniversary celebrated at Rocky Pointe. Maybe we won't wait as long to visit next time.

Review: Mount Vista is a great chalet, with a fabulous view of the Smokies. It is a bit of a drive up from Gatlinburg, so be forewarned! Three of us stayed in Mount Vista, my friends who celebrated their anniversary, and me. All of us are 27-30. There is a ton of room to spread out in this chalet, so privacy is not an issue for small groups. The hot tub is on the bottom deck, and for being just one floor below the main deck with a beautiful view, the hot tub location is very private. The jacuzzi is right inside from the hot tub on the bottom level. Water pressure was not very good in the jacuzzi or either downstairs shower, but through the rest of the house it was just fine. Game room was nice place to hang out. Main living/dining/kitchen area is the highlight of Mount Vista, with an amazing view of the mountains out the large back windows. Three great couches in the living room provide excellent space to relax. Bedrooms are nice throughout the house, I stayed in the back left bedroom on the bottom floor, which was very private. My friends stayed on the top floor in the king bedroom. One highlight for them -- even though the top floor is more of a loft, the king bedroom has a door on it, so it was perfect for them. We were all very pleased with Mount Vista, and I know you will be too. Enjoy!

Review: We were looking for a place to get away for our anniversary and came across the Mountain Rentals site. From the "just looking" to "checking out" the whole experience was as easy as could be. I chose Moonshine Run after spending hours looking at all the different floor plans and pictures. The cabin was perfect! The keyless entry and check-in call allowed us to arrive and get busy with our vacation! The cabin was clean and inviting, and move in ready. There were plenty of extra pillows and blankets (which came in handy when the temperature dropped) and was just a very comfortable place to relax. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed to cook during our stay,. We spent almost every evening on the deck in the hot tub. Even though the fireplace was a gas insert, it gave a wonderful feeling to the night time atmosphere. We weren't able to enjoy the views to the fullest due to the fact that the trees still had leaves, but it was beautiful. The cabin is the second to the last on the road so there was no traffic. In the week we were there, we didn't pass another car either coming or going (all though we did pass some walkers). The driveway was a little intimidating at first, but easy to maneuver. We just pulled straight in, then were able to back up and turn around so we could pull back out front first. The cabin is in a great location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge as well as close to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We had no problems whatsoever and we would definitely stay there again.

The roads and drive look steep but did not have any problem.The cabin seems secluded but other cabins are close, but just not seen. I like the gas fire place, just flip a switch an it starts. Review: My wife and I just returned home from a needed week relaxation. We both didn't want to leave the Smokies and head back to Illinois. Our cabin was located near Gatlinburg and yet close to Pigeon Forge too.The cabin price was very reasonable compared to other companies we have rented from .The only problem we had was that the hot tub wasn't working when we arrived.One phone call and within minutes ,the man was there to fix it.You can't ask for better service. I visted the office to get maps of other cabins they had to rent. We drove around and found several with great views,and I'm sure we will stay in one of those next year. Review: Our stay at New Outlook Cabin was great! The cabin was very clean when we arrived. The automated system was great! We had a little trouble finding the cabin in the beginning, but I called the office and they were very helpful. We were only 1 road off! The kitchen was very well equipt, everything worked great! The location was quiet and very peaceful! The hot tub was ready and waiting, very clean and perfect temp. The bedrooms were very spacious with more than enough storage space/closet space. Water pressure was great even when we used both showers at the same time! Plenty of hot water! If I had to make a suggestion, the only one I can come up with would be to update the televisions to flat screens & maybe mount on the walls. But why watch TV when you can sit on the porch with that unbelievable view! Location was great, quick & easy to get into Gatlinburg & back when we were ready for peace & quiet! We will most cerainly stay at New Outlook again!!

Review: We had a wonderful time at the Kickback Kottage. My husband and I took 4 of our children, my niece and her boyfriend and my parents with us for our vacation. There was plenty of room for all of us! The loft was great for the boys and the lower level worked out perfectly for the girls, while us adults enjoyed the middle level. In the closet there was an array of books to snuggle up on the porch swing and read while the kids played pool. We ate all of our meals at the cabin the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. Our bed was comfortable, I hated coming home to mine! I can't wait to go back! Review: This is a nice cabin. Nothing spectacular, but you get what you pay for. The view of the mountains was amazing! The staff was very nice and prompt. We had a problem with the AC and they showed up immediately for it. The stairs to the game room are steep, but there is a gate to keep small children away witch was a great idea! We had a bear come over to our cabin and honestly we thought it was really cool! He didn't bother us, and was soon gone. Review: We stayed at this cabin the week before Labor Day, and it was awesome. The decor was cool. The hot tub was nice and the view was scenic. My only problems were that the previous occupant had set two bedrooms alarm clocks for Midnight. So our first night there we had quite the rude awakening. In one of these bedrooms, our 3-year-old was asleep, and we had a challenge getting her to go back to sleep (and getting ourselves to go back to sleep). Also in the evening, the sun shines hot into the living room area making it slightly stuffy, but not a big deal. Other cool stuff is how close you are to the attractions and downtown. The road to the cabin is steep but not as bad as other cabins we've stayed in before. We would stay here again. Just make sure to check the alarm clocks before you go to bed that first night.

Review: I had a wonderful time with my husband and 2 year old daughter in the Awesome View cabin. We love the layout of the cabin with a master bedroom on each side of the living room area and an entry way from each room onto the closed in deck. We enjoyed our meals on the table located on the deck and when it was raining we felt absolutely no drops! It was such a relaxing time and we didn't want to come home. At first we were disappointed with the outside grill (which is a park grill)but we decided to grill steaks anyway and they were AWESOME!!! We will definitely be returning. Review: This one bedroom chalet was very nice and well kept. The day we arrived there was a bear standing just off of the parking space but that was the last time we saw him. The chalet was pet friendly and we enjoyed being able to bring our pomeranian along. The hardwood floors are very nice and the jacuzzi tub is large and and located in a nice place. The game room has a pool/air hockey table and we enjoyed playing the games. The hot tub was full and up to temperature and a hammock sat close by. The sofa was nice but not the most comfortable. The bed was large and very comfortable. The wifi came in very handy. The only issues we had was that the ice maker didn't work and the iron was broken. Rather than bothering with the office we decided just to buy ice and an iron. The view from the back deck is simply breath taking and we spent a lot of time in the swing just enjoying the mountains. All in all a very enjoyable vacation.

Review: We are always excited to return to the Smoky Mountains. Our friends from NC met us there, which also added to the excitement of the trip. This cabin was really great. Two couples have plenty of privacy and plenty of room when you're all together. The covered decks were a plus and gave us a chance to be outside considering it rained a good part of our stay. The cabin is nicely furnished and decorated, clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. You may want to take an extra dish towel and a non stick skillet other than that we had everything we needed. We saw a bear later in our week trying to get in the trash so we called housekeeping and someone came out to pick up trash. We cooked a lot of meals in, enjoyed the game room and hot tub and quiet of the woods. It was beginning to feel like home and we hated to see it end. We will be back and as usual we will use Mountain Rentals. We've always been pleased.

Review: We really enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a nice place we could visit regularly with our dogs, and this may be the one. Check in was a breeze at the office. The cabin was lovely with a beautiful kitchen, a fantastic view, an awesome hot tub, and a king size bed. (Next time, we'll bring our own pillows as there weren't enough for me and my husband; just 3 small ones.) But before checking out, we read through the guestbook and saw some very nasty comments made by the owner to previous guests. I just think if the owner has a problem with a specific guest, she should address it with them directly, not leave a nasty comment in a guestbook for all future guests to see. That's kind of tacky. It was her attitude in the guestbook that made my answer about whether we'll stay again as "probably" instead of "definitely."

Review: If life has been a struggle and you are looking for a perfect get away spot, then "Life's a Bear" is just the place for you. The wife and I needed a vacation in the worst way and so I made a reservation online. The cabin was much more than we could have ever expected. Located right mid way between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, "Life's a Bear" is just right for a young couple on a Honeymoon or for two people like us who just needed to get to know each other once again. The cabin has a large King Size bed, jacuzzi tub inside, hot tub on the deck, surprisingly large bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, cable television, and charcoal grill outside. You can be at any of the attractions within minutes or you can sit back and enjoy the peace and quite while relaxing on the deck in the swing. Decorated with a rustic theme that is not over the top or too cluttered, you will feel like you have walked into a second home away from home.

Review: This is a wonderful rental unit. Have been to Gatlinburg over 35 times and this rates with the best. We had children and did not have to worry about the noise. This is a three level and older adults may have difficulty on stairs. I am 58 and had no trouble. We found ourselves in the rockers on the front porch often. Wonderful family vacation. One thing, Ski Mountain Road can be difficult at times especially in the rain. Be careful and don't look down. Will definitely stay there again. Rates with the best hotels in town.

Review: The only thing wrong with this unit is that the trees blocked the panoramic view we love from Kears Mtn. If they were trimmed, we'd stay in the same unit again.

Review: My 3 sons loved the cabin, especially the hot tub, foosball table, and air hockey table. The cabin was clean and very inviting. The decor was good. My only complaint was the air conditioning. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were extremely hot. The downstairs stayed very cool, but one AC unit is not adequate for the two-story cabin in 95 degree heat! Overall though, it was a wonderful place to vacation.

Review: This cabin was great to stay in. The cabin had a lot of space for the five of us. We needed to call maintenance on an issue and they were there and had the problem fixed within an hour. This company is great to deal with. They make your stay easy and enjoyable which allows for more leisure time. We loved the area the cabin was in and even seen some bears on the way to our cabin. The pool access was an added bonus for the kids. We loved our overall stay and we will return again with friends.

Review: This cabin was a very nice treat to the entire family. Holly's Haven had ample space for all of us. Our children loved the game room and the hot tub. The master bedroom is very nice. This cabin has three bathrooms which helped for getting ready to go out for the day. The staff at Mountain rentals was excellent to deal with. PJ went above and beyond meeting our expectations of this rental experience. We will definitely recommend this company to our friends.

Review: The cabin on the inside was nice, nothing spectacular, but a great deal for the price. It is close enough to Gatlinburg where you are not driving forever to get to town. The service was excellent. Our hot tub broke on the first day, and maintenance people were there within an hour of letting them know. It was a bad circuit board which could not be fixed until after we would've been gone. Instead of staying in the cabin we were offered another cabin (I did not ask to move). We were given a better cabin for the remainder of our stay with a working hot tub. I would point anyone to mountainchalets.com if they are planning a trip to Gatlinburg.

Review: My husband and I rented this cabin for a vacation with our adult children. There were 9 of us. We were very happy with this cabin. It has a lot of space and it is in very good condition. The guys really enjoyed the pool table and arcade game in the basement. I liked the light coming through multiple large windows. There are no curtains on the common room windows but it wasn't hot as the air conditioning works very well. The curtains in the bedrooms didn't block light, but we didn't mind as this helped get us moving a little earlier. If you rent this cabin, give the night owls the bedrooms on the bottom floor so the noise from the pool table doesn't keep others up. These bedrooms are also a little darker compared to the upstairs in the morning. We called maintenance twice while there, once for light bulbs and once for trash pick up. They came out immediately; we were very pleased. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the kitchen could use more light for food preparation. We also did not have enough mixing bowls and there were no storage containers for leftovers. We brought our own slow cooker and a waffle iron. We had a great time and this is a very nice cabin. We had a welcoming committee of bear and 3 cute cubs in our neighbor's trash when we arrived; they paid very little attention to us. We watched them from inside for quite a while. We saw them a couple of times after that, but once the trash was secured they didn't return. I would recommend this cabin!

Review: Cabin was excellent and very well kept. View was awesome. It faced East so we could see the sun rise and the cabin blocked the evening sun from the porch. Driveway is steep so I would not want to try it on rainy, or snowy, day. Will definitely rent this cabin again.

Review: This is the perfect little cabin for 2. I never wanted to leave. The vista was gorgeous, there was privacy and we felt completely comfortable from the moment we arrived. There was only one concern: wasps--we reported at the office that there were several (4) in the cabin that we had to take of, they sent were to send someone out while we were away for the day but the problem persisted during the week (we kept having 2-3/day that we took care of ourselves).

Review: My wife and I spent three nights in this cabin. On arrival we were very pleased to find a very clean, and well equipped cabin. Everything was in perfect working order, and in excellent shape. The kitchen is very well stocked, better than ours at home. The location is very convenient to downtown, less than a 2 minute drive, yet it feels relatively isolated from town. We will be back.

Review: The cabin was wonderful! Location, perfect. Couldn't connect to WIFI even after staff came to reboot router. My wife and I had our honeymoon in Gatlinburg 35 years ago, so coming back was special...this cabin made it great! We will rent from 'mountain chalets' again. Review: We just got home from this cabin and it was amazing! The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The sitting area and dinning area were nicely decorated and clean. The upstairs bedroom was clean and well spaced out. The downstairs was well laid out, with a TV and fridge for convenience while enjoying the pool table. The space around the pool table was a little cramped and made shooting pool a little difficult at times; however it made for some interesting shots! The two downstairs bedrooms/bathrooms were clean and nice. Also the pull out bed in the downstairs was a nice size for one person. The hot tub was broken and needed some repairs but was usable. The cabin was really close to the neighbors and if sitting on either of the decks you were right next to their front door. Also an outside eating area would have been a nice touch. Overall a great cabin!
