    Sweet Surender in Beech Branch

We stayed in this cabin in June of 2008. Nice and secluded, easy access to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Back roads to get to cabin without using the major roads and easy access to bypass to the national park. Great view of the mountains, 1 bedroom in loft, 2 bath, 2 jacuzzi's 1 in loft bedroom 1 on deck, nice kitchen, 2 cable tv's, charcoal grill in driveway. The uper jacuzzi was nice with a picture window to see the mountains. My only complaints are, the decks, there are 2 or wrap around, one side had nothing, no furniture, no grill, no hammock, no table not even a chair, I thought this was a waste for such a big space. The other side did have 2 wood chairs, little table, swing and a jacuzzi. The toaster and coffee maker we outdated, no hotpads, not many kitchen untencels, small coffe table in living room, air conditioning was 10 degrees hoter upstairs in loft, loft jacuzzi cycled the jets on and off 5 minutes on and 5 off? A gas grill on the un-used deck and some chairs or hammock would have been real nice. Other than that, it was OK.

We also stayed in this cabin in June/July 2008. The cabin was not as private as we thought when the description stated private and secluded.  The cabin is secluded but there is another cabin right beside Sweet Surrender.  The cabin is extremely clean, easy to find. Due to the air conditioning being down during our stay, we did not get to enjoy the hot tub on the deck Sad  Maintenance was super fast in responding to our calls regarding the air conditioner. We were compensated from Mountain Rentals for the malfunction and everyone in the office was very helpful. Thank you ladies for your professionalism.  The view of the moutains was spectacular.  We rented "Forever" owned by the same owner as Sweet Surrender three years ago and that cabin was just as spotless as this one. Other then a hot cabin because of a malfunctioning air conditioner, we enjoyed our stay in Gatlinburg and returned home to await the arrival of our granddaughter in October.

Just an update, the owner has replaced the entire A/C unit in Sweet Surrender so next year should be nice and cool.  Again we apologize for the problem & hope to see you soon!

Re: Sweet Surender in Beech Branch

We just spent Labor Day Weekend at the Sweet Surrender for our 1 year anniversary/honeymoon. It was amazing, the cabin was very clean, very quiet, and such a beuatiful view of the mountains. Easy to get to, located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

To respond to the other two posts about the deck and A/C. The A/C was working good, kept the entire cabin very cool, was nice coming into after a nice soak in the hot tub. The decks are very nice. On the main deck with the hot tub, it has a porch swing, two chairs, and a small table. The secondary deck on the side of the cabin now has a small picnic style table, with two small benches. It was a nice place to sit and watch the sunrise while eating breakfast.

We loved this cabin so much we're already saving up for our next trip. Well worth the price and the 8 hour drive. The diaries with input from all the previous tenants was a nice read. Thank you Mountain Chalets, for such a beautiful memory of our 1st anniversary together.
