Tennessee Cabin Rentals, Smoky Mountain Cabins - Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge Vacation

Book online Tennessee Cabin Rentals, Smoky Mountain Cabins for Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge Vacation

Well, Spring has Sprung in East Tennessee!

The weather is gorgeous and Gatlinburg is going in full force - just check out the web camera!  The outdoor Gatlinburg attractions are all open again.  I passed Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini-Golf and you would have thought it was June; people were waiting at every hole!  Ripley’s is my favorite place to play putt-putt; the animated characters are too cute.

Also with Spring comes the Car Shows you either love them or you hate them!  Just incase you don’t know here’s a quick rundown on the Spring show.  It is held in Pigeon Forge and begins April 19th – 22nd, 2007 of course some will arrive early and others will stay over.  Hotel rates go through the roof, cars are everywhere, you pay for parking and the shopping malls are packed!  BUT it is all in the name of fun!  The cars are beautiful, the people are great and everyone should get a bag of Kettle corn (last year it was at traffic light #6).

With that said, I suggest you stay on “the peaceful side of the Smokies” where Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg’s Rates DO NOT change, the parking is FREE (just ask a reservation professional for an easily accessible driveway if you have a trailer), the kids can enjoy the attractions and you can experience the mountains.  You also have a chance to win your own car!  We are giving away a 2007 Jeep wrangler 4x4 unlimited for 2007 each time you stay you are automatically entered to win.  Visit our website at http://www.mountainchalets.com/Services/VacationPromotions.aspx for more info.  Relax in Gatlinburg and enjoy the show in Pigeon Forge.  I live in Wears Valley so I drive in and spend the day at the show and drive back to get some peace and quiet after a busy day.

Whether you love the Car Show or hate it Gatlinburg gives you easy access to the show or a retreat from it all.  See you soon!

We visit Lafayette, Louisiana a few times each year to visit family.  They have wonderful people and they are always having a Festival.  The Festival of Nations is my favorite: they have music, art and crafts from all over.

I do like escaping the heat and returning to the cool breeze of my front porch in Wears Valley though!
