This is the first Blog for Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg and we are very excited about this new edition to our website!  

    The Gatlinburg Winter Magic is still going strong depsite the unseasonally warm weather we are experiencing. Today we have a high of 65 degrees and it is going to continue throughout the weekend.  This is the perfect time to see the beautiful display of lights without that cumbersome parka!  The "Magical Lights, Magical Nights" will contine through February 28, 2007, so there is still time to load the car and experince this county wide event before it's gone.  You can also see the lights from our web camera positioned with a perfect view of the main strip, courtesy of Mountain Mall, at www.mountainchalets/AreaInfo/GatlinburgLive.aspx  We have actually been voted winner of EarthCam's top ten webcams!  Thanks to all of you who have sent us emails about the webcam! 

   There is nothing like winter in the Great Smoky Mountains- the hope for snow, fresh air, lights and mountains will make you feel like a kid again. I have to admit part of the appeal is also the shopping!  There are so many of the Outlets that are offering anywhere from 40% - 75% off I cannot hardley contain myself!
