Description

This log home offers the benefits of privacy and seclusion with modern comfort and contemporary design all in a delightful 3 bedroom package. And we haven’t even mentioned the view yet.

Outside the home, attractive landscaping makes the nearby picnic table the perfect place to enjoy a noonday meal or take advantage of the charcoal grill and fix dinner outdoors. Entering the home we first find the kitchen and dining room area, fully furnished with comfortable seating for up to 6. Throughout the home a combination of log cabin walls and wall papered surfaces predominate the decor. A vaulted ceiling gives the distinct impression of space as this opens into the living room, a comfortable area furnished with matching sofa and chairs, a wood burning fireplace and cable TV with a VCR and DVD players. Stepping through to the opposite end of the home you can exit onto the porch. There are rocking chairs and a 2 person swing, all of which are great for enjoying the breathtaking view this home provides. Back inside, the main floor has the first of 3 bedrooms, this one furnished with a King size bed, a separate full bath, & cable TV, VCR, & DVD players. The home’s laundry facilities are located in a nearby hall closet.

Upstairs, the main loft area is a combination sitting area/guest room; it has an additional futon and queen size bed with a mirrored dresser and a loveseat. Upstairs is also where we find the master bedroom; complete with king size bed, cable TV, VCR, DVD, and 2 ample closets. There’s also a writing desk placed in front of a window that looks out onto the aforementioned view making it an ideal place for a moment of quite introspection. The upstairs is served by a half bath in the hall which has the benefit of also housing the home’s Jacuzzi, an addition everyone is certain to enjoy. On the bottom level of the home is the game room: a comfortable space, complete with a bar style table for a game of cards, a pool table and an air hockey table, that creates an area that everyone will enjoy. There’s also another full bath and the third bedroom, tastefully furnished and complete with a queen size bed. Step outside of the lower level and you can slip into the hot tub and forget your cares. This cabin also features wireless high-speed internet access (router is also available to plug-in to), so you'll never be to far away from the outside world. This home also includes a highchair, baby gates and a playpen.

If you are looking for a contemporary log home with ample comfort and more sleeping accommodations than the typical 3 bedroom, this home is just what you’re looking for.

Wonderful Week (Lebanon, OH) - 11/27/2011

We had a wonderful week and our stay at Windsong added to the enjoyment of the vacation. Windsong's view, atmosphere and comfortable accomodations made for wonderful evenings of family fun when we returned from our hikes in the Smokey Mountains. The kitchen is one of the best equipped we've experienced.(The only thing you may want to look at are the screens in the windows. They seem to need a bit of repair.)
