Description

This 2 bedroom log home has a lot to offer, from a spacious master bedroom to authentic log construction.

Opening into the fully furnished kitchen and nicely decorated living room area, this home has both a modern and antique feel. The living room has a comfortable sofa in front of a brick wood-burning fireplace and a mounted TV/VCR. Throughout this area are hardwood floors. The bedroom on the main level has a queen size bed and a separate half bath. The bedroom is decorated with antique accessories on the dressing table. There is additional bathroom access from the hallway running from the bedroom to the kitchen. Don’t miss the separate Jacuzzi room with a recessed tub and tall windows looking out on the wooded surroundings. From here you can step out on the rear deck that wraps around the side of the home. This spacious porch has enough furniture to go around and a charcoal grill for your enjoyment. The amenities of the home are thoroughly modern, yet the charm of this cabin is decidedly deep-rooted in a frontier tradition.

Upstairs is where you will find the master bedroom, a spacious affair that features a king size bed and another wood burning brick fireplace. The room is decorated with beautiful period pieces, like the antique writing table in the corner. There is a private full bath with a strikingly unique sink that is placed in an antique dressing table. There’s an adjacent sitting room with a sofa and TV/VCR; there’s also lots of closet space to go around.

For those seeking antique charm in a naturally wooded setting, this home is sure to please.

Reviews

Almost home (Oxford, MS) - 1/17/2012

Our stay was wonderful! Cozy cabin and very clean. It had everything we needed. It was nice to stay in a quiet location in the mountains, but close enough to skiing and restaurants. My kids, husband I had a great time! We can't wait to get back!

Linda (Griffin, GA) - 12/22/2011

The name of the unit where we stayed is very appropriate as it did feel like Almost Home.

Truly alomst home! (Biloxi, MS) - 12/14/2011

This was our fourth stay in this cabin and we love it! Can't wait to come back in 2012. Everything was just perfect, even the service. Thanks!!!

Almost Home TR#39 (Lawrenceburg, KY) - 11/4/2011

This cabin was clean, and the owner/manager had thought of everything.

Almost Home (Brookville, IN) - 9/27/2011

This cabin more than lived up to it's name. It was clean, comfortable, and well equiped. We also saw lots of bears and got some wonderful pictures.

Truly Almost Home! (Biloxi, MS) - 8/17/2011

My wife and I loved everything about this cabin. Perfect location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Being in this cabin was like almost being home. Would recommend this cabin to anyone!
