Description

As the rushing water whispers quietly through an open window, let yourself be transported away from your workday cares as you vacation in this riverside chalet. Ideally located directly on Roaring Fork river this 2 bedroom home is a pleasure both inside and out.

The wraparound deck, overlooking the water, is furnished with deck chairs and table and a charcoal grill. The hot tub is also here, providing an ideal place for enjoying your surroundings. But whether you’re in the water or high and dry, the tranquility of the scene is unmistakable.

Inside, the downstairs living room features a towering cathedral ceiling which accents the monolithic stone fireplace, the centerpiece of the room. The downstairs is also where you’ll find the fully furnished kitchen adjacent to the living room. Adjoining this main living space is the first of 2 bedrooms each containing a queen sized bed. Also discretely concealed on this floor is the home’s laundry facilities. Additionally, both upstairs and down have separate full baths.

The partial second floor accommodates a guest bedroom and a second kitchen. With a half sized stove and a micro-fridge, this mini-kitchen area is just the thing for your guests midnight snacking. Also in the kitchen area is a dining room table and sofa sleeper with nearby TV making this room perfect for a second den or a makeshift third bedroom. An adjacent patio makes sure your upstairs guest can still glimpse the river below.

Located less than a mile from Highway 321 running directly through Gatlinburg, this home manages to take you away from it all without leaving you isolated.

Roaring Folk Chalet

by from Liberty township, OH on 4/10/2013

The chalet was very nice. It was clean upon arrival. Very easy to rent and keyless entry made access and arrival convenient. The fold out couch bed, however, needs a new matress. Other than that, nice place. We had a wonderful time.

I will have housekeeping check the sofa bed. I am glad you enjoyed your time with us in the Smokies!

Weekend Getaway

by from Tazewell, TN on 2/18/2013

Four of us went away for a two night stay at the Roaring Fork River Chalet. The hot tub and arrangment of the house is what sold us on it in pictures. However, after arriving there, we realized the pictures didn't do justice to the weekend. Some of the chalet is a little dated, but everything is super clean and cozy. We spent the weekend primarily at the cabin, just enjoying the ourselves. The kitchen is set up nicely and we prepared our meals there instead of going out. The first night there it snowed while we were in the hot tub which made it perfect. The river sound and the chalet were perfect for relaxing and we would definitely choose to go there again if we take a trip to Gatlinburg!
