Description

This 2 bedroom home has all the charm and country comfort of a New England “Bed & Breakfast” this home features a more traditional design but sacrifices none of the benefits that larger homes enjoy.

When you arrive at this beautifully wooded home you’ll be greeted by the attractive landscaping and seasonal flowers that surround it. Also outside is a Victorian gazebo where you’ll find the inviting hot tub. This is the perfect place to relax in the cool of the evening and melt away your cares. Inside you’ll find that “Bed & Breakfast” charm everywhere you look including a complementary morning newspaper. “A Precious Place” is designed to feel like your home and provides books, magazines and area maps for your convenience. The living room is a cozy space with a gas fireplace and comfy furnishings, including a TV and VCR. There’s also a game cabinet with lots of old fashioned ways to pass the time. The nearby kitchen is fully furnished with all the desired amenities and has access to a small deck where you will find a quaint bistro patio set and a smoker grill. Stepping through the sliding glass doors from the living room into the enclosed sun room, you have a view directly into the woods with scenes of the changing seasons. There’s also a wall mounted TV here and dual ceiling fans, making it the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon glass of iced tea while lounging in the wicker furniture. The home’s 2 bedrooms have queen size beds and are serviced by 2 separate full baths. One has a southern theme and is affectionately called “Scarlet’s Suite” and the other, “Miss O’Hara’s Oasis,” is also cleverly decorated. A lower deck accessible from outside has Adirondack chairs and an old fashioned porch swing. There’s also a basement area that houses the laundry facilities, a foosball table, darts and an air hockey table. Please note you must access this area from outside.

During the Holiday Season, November – February, there are 5 heavily decorated Christmas trees that transform for Valentines as well.

With a location that is convenient to downtown and also near the National Park, this home has the best of both worlds. Any way you look at it, this home provides the special touches that make your stay the best it can be.

What A Week

"A Precious Place" was just that. Once we found it, we had a great week. The decor was fantastic with the Easter theme and we arrived on Easter Sunday evening. Everything was well arranged, fully equipped and just like a home away from home. The home made bread was an added treat as well. We loved the quietness, the cool nights and warm days and just being back with nature. The deck and porch were favorites of ours. We would definitely rent this property again. Mountain Rentals has this business down pat as well. We never saw any of their people, but we didn't need to. They have checking in and out down to a science. Thanks to all for a great week!

Nice Place to Stay

This was a very nice place to stay, and it was well decorated. Plenty of games and activities and the owners even left us some home baked cookies on our door step which was a very nice touch of southern hospitality. A very thoughtful and appreciated gesture. Definitely a cut above!
