Description

Some people think squirrels mate for life-that's just how long you'll want to stay after you experience this delightful 1 bedroom cabin.

The Kear family built this cabin on their private ridge in order to share part of their Smoky Mountain heritage with everyone. From here you can glimpse the Tennessee side of the Smoky Mountains , stretching from Mount Cammerer in Cosby, Mount Harrison (Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort)/ Cove Mountain in Gatlinburg. But a great location isn't all this home has to offer. Step inside and you'll immediately notice the added intimacy of the open floor plan and added charm of the naturally finished wood surfaces that extend from top to bottom. A vaulted ceiling with plenty of windows lining the front of the home creates a cheery living space. Stepping through the front door, the home's king size bed sits to your right with a gas fireplace just at the foot. Opposite the fireplace is the heart-shaped Jacuzzi, perfect for setting the mood or just wanting to unwind. A viewing window that looks out onto the area makes this spot even more perfect. In the rear of the home there is a fully furnished kitchen and a dining table perfect for 2. In between these two spaces is the sofa and TV which features satellite access and a VCR. The home is serviced by one full bath with a stackable washer/dryer. The rear deck is where you'll find the hot tub (with privacy wall) and the great view of the Smokies. There are also plenty of rocking chairs for relaxing in a dryer fashion. With all this at your disposal you'll be the envy of any woodland creature.

Squirrel's Nest

Great cabin with a gorgeous view. Good value for the price. The rocking chairs on the deck were a little uncomfortable. Would be nice to have a small table on the deck also, as the weather was very nice and we would have ate breakfast on the deck. We would recommend it overall. We have stayed in Gatlinburg 8 times.

Honeymoon in the Nest

Honeymoon in the Squirrel's Nest cabin was absolutely amazing. The view was breathtaking. We were both extremely pleased that the cabin was so high in the mountain. The cabin was beautiful, rustic, comfortable and completely peaceful. What a wonderful way to begin our new life together. We didn't want to leave and cannot wait till we have a chance to come back. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Thank you again, Chris & Carolina Chapman

Excellent Cabins

This was my second stay at these cabins and they are very nice. Excellent setting for a romantic getaway. Beautiful view. Also was an easy distance to get back into Gatlinburg. Definitely one of my favorite places to stay.
