Located adjacent to Kear's Mountain Magic, this home is great for couples wanting to vacation together but retain separate accommodations.

The Kear family built this cabin on their family ridge in order to share part of their Smoky Mountain heritage with everyone. From here almost the Tennessee side of the Smoky Mountains can be seen, stretching from Mount Cammerer in Cosby , TN to Mount Harrison (Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort)/ Cove Mountain in Gatlinburg , TN. This authentic one bedroom log home is constructed of hand hewn pine logs. This level of thoughtful attention extends both inside and out. Once inside, you'll immediately appreciate the added intimacy of the open floor plan and added charm of the naturally finished wood surfaces that extend from top to bottom. A vaulted ceiling with plenty of windows lining the front of the home creates a cheery living space. In the rear of the home there is a fully furnished kitchen and a dining table perfect for 2. The home is furnished with a full bath. Outside on the deck is where you'll find the hot tub and the spectacular Smoky Mountain views this home has to offer. There are dual privacy screens here to make you feel more at ease. Back inside, the home's king size bed awaits with a gas fireplace right at your feet. Nearby is the home's heart-shaped Jacuzzi, a perfect spot for a soothing evening alone or with someone special. In between these two spaces is the sofa and TV which features satellite and has a VCR. There's also a stack washer/dryer for you convenience.

Incredible experience!

We had a 5 night stay for our 10th wedding anniversary at Kear's Mountain Splendor in May. What a great cabin and view of the mountains and trees! And the staff at Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg was so helpful as we actually had booked another cabin and switched, and then added more days. And a great deal on the cabin itself! We hope to be back sometime soon!

Perfect As Always

We have rented from MRG several times and as always, we had a blast. Just remember you are in the Great Smokey Mountains and there are bugs. We had our morning coffee on the deck in the rocking chairs watching the sun rise and in the hottub with our evening beverages watching it set. We grilled out every night and had everything we needed to cook a great breakfast inside. The cabin is comfy and a perfect place for a hard working couple to unwind. THANKS MRG

Great Trip!

The chalet had a great view which really set the tone for the trip. It was close to many hiking trails and the hot tub was great for soothing tired muscles afterwards.
