"Wildcat Lodge" Chalet in Ski Mountain, Gatlinburg

I found the cabin to be extremely clean. Maintenance was needed for the hot tub (I wanted the timer feature turned off) and to replace the satellite remote. I found the gentleman that responded to be courteous and helpful. Service was also prompt -- less than 30 minutes. While he was here replacing the remote, he also repaired a glass-topped coffee table (the frame support was broken previous to our arrival and the glass could not stay in place). He was helpful, courteous and prompt. My complaint -- the deck railing surrounding the deck is dangerously loose. There is more than just a little movement and I was very uncomfortable letting my 7 year old and 2 year old near the deck railing. In the deck railing area nearest the hot tub, it is apparent and visible that the railing is pulling loose from the flooring (a gap large enough to insert the tip of the finger). The blinds on one of the living room doors is broken and missing pieces. Blinds should be installed in the downstairs bedroom -- not for privacy as much as to block the rising sun. The bedroom furniture was serviceable but showing its age -- the finish is missing in some areas,as is the dining room table. Now for the positives -- the kitchen appliances were newer and in fine repair. The refrigerator was large and able to hold a significant amount of food (but I would suggest that a second refrigerator would be beneficial for extra cold drink handling). The carpeting was clean and in good shape -- maybe newer. Overall -- I would rent from this company again. I found the staff efficient, helpul and courteous. But I probably would not rent the Wildcat.
