Description

If you’re looking for a place to stay for your next group outing you won’t find a more accommodating host than Susan: this 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath log home is three stories of Smoky Mountain comfort.

In addition to boasting a private location this home also has the bonus of having a great view of the surrounding area. Entering through the front door you’ll immediately notice the inviting atmosphere of this home. The log cabin look of the exterior is present in the home’s interior as well adding to the feeling of rustic comfort. The living room is to the right while you’ll find the kitchen on your left. If you’re looking for the Jacuzzi room, (complete with half bath) just go straight ahead.

The living room benefits from a wood-burning fireplace nestled in front of the sofa. There’s also and entertainment center with TV and VCR. The kitchen and dining room area is large and spacious with a full selection of amenities and seating for 8. An old fashioned hutch and assorted bric-a-brac on the walls gives this space a feeling of down home hospitality. Downstairs in the capacious den you’ll find several assorted sofas and recliners positioned around a second wood-burning fireplace. There is also a TV and VCR. On the opposite end of the room is a full sized pool table. The third bedroom is located adjacent to the game room. It features a queen size bed and shares a full bath with the game room and den. In the center of the room is a mini-bar with a mini fridge and microwave: the perfect place to serve everyone a midnight snack. Step through the French doors onto the rear deck and you’ll find the home’s hot tub, a feature definitely not to miss. Upstairs you’ll find one of the home’s most notable features: 2 equally spacious master bedrooms, each 19’x19’. Each bedroom has a king size bed and a private bath. Similarly decorated and similarly delightful, these rooms are sure to please.

Awash with rustic appeal and with plenty of accommodations for everyone, this is a perfect choice.

My family and my sister's family stayed in "Black-eyed Susan" over the Thanksgiving Holiday 2011. We came to celebrate the renewing of my vows with my husband after being married 15 years. This cabin is decorated so beautifully! After having stayed in many chalets over the years, I was surprised at how detailed and to what expense the owners went to decorate this cabin. It looks smaller in size in the pictures but we had plenty of room for our families. We were originally going to do our vow renewel ceremony outdoors but because of the beautiful living room, we chose to have it there. This time will be one of my most treasured memories. Thank you for making this time so special for us! We plan on staying with you again!
