Description

We know the path to a peaceful Gatlinburg weekend and we’d be happy to show you the way. Look and see what awaits at the “Trail’s End.”

This luxurious 3 story riverfront home has everything you could ask for, from a secluded location to country cottage comfort. Entering the main door you’re greeted with the earthen colors of the home’s great room. This space features naturally finished wood surfaces from top to bottom, from the hardwood floors to the vaulted ceiling. The décor evokes the spirit of the mountains while the furnishings bespeak comfort. Opulent leather furniture is arranged in front of the gas fireplace, the perfect setting for a winter’s night. If it’s not so chilly, you can entertain yourself with the TV (with satellite access), stereo and DVD/VCR. There’s also access to the main deck, a perfect place for enjoying summer days thanks to the provided gas grill and ample lounge furniture. Back inside is the kitchen. Its olive colored cabinets contrast wonderfully with the deep red hues of the counter top. But this space is functional as well, with plenty of room and all the necessary amenities. Located opposite is the dining room table with seating for 8. This floors full bath connects to one of the home’s bedrooms. This room is called “Black Berry Bush” and its lavender hues are reminiscent of the black berry bush which once stood on this site. It features a queen size bed and wrought iron bed frame. Heading upstairs, take note of the banister which was handmade by a local artisan. Here you find the loft or lounge area. This space has additional furnishings, equally luxurious, and an additional TV with DVD/VCR making it a perfect place for entertaining.

Finally, we go downstairs to find the last 2 bedrooms. The first is called “Smoky Mountain Winter” and features a king size bed adorned with a snowflake patterned country quilt. This room is serviced by a full bath across the hall. The final bedroom is called “Bear Mountain” and as you might guess features bear décor. This room has a king size bed, a day bed and a babies crib. There is a private full bath and access to the lower level deck. The deck is especially nice as this is where you’ll find the hot tub. There’s even a path leading down from the home to the river!

We loved the location of the cabin, the setting on the river is wonderful. The cabin is comfortable and accomodates a family with small children. The drive out to the cabin is long but well worth the time for the peace and quite.
