Description

Be on the lookout for a wonderful time! This newly remodeled cabin is 2 floors of lush comfort and tasteful décor.

You'll enter on the upper level: the fully furnished kitchen is on your immediate left and the living room opens on your right. This space is very open thanks to the airy floor plan and the abundance of windows which extend from the sliding glass door to the vaulted ceiling's cathedral style panes and run the length of the home. These windows look out onto the stunning mountain view this home offers, allowing you to enjoy your natural surroundings whether your relaxing in the cozy living room or basking on the deck. The living room comes complete with both sofa and recliner which are parked in front of the gas fireplace and cable TV (with VCR and DVD capability). Take your pick! Also upstairs is the first of two bedrooms. This bedroom is decorated in dark forest greens and accented with naturally finished wood surfaces. A king size bed resides on the iron wrought bed frame, rich with an air of rugged yet sumptuous comfort. The second bedroom is downstairs and is furnished in burgundy hues with wood accents. It also features a king size bed with a bold 4 post bed frame of unfinished wood. Each bedroom has a wall mounted cable TV and a full bath nearby to make every guest feel at home. Downstairs is also home to the game room. Here you'll find an additional wall mounted TV and a sleeper sofa. This space features a pool table at its center surrounded by hardwood floors and ample windows which face out onto the deck. The lower level deck is where you'll find the hot tub, a spot definitely not to be missed. Also off note, this home has full washer/dryer facilities.

Reviews

Black Bear Lookout (Woodruff, SC) - 12/5/2011

Excellant cabin and I would definitly stay again. Great view, the decor was excellant, the kitchen well stocked. Loved the new ease of checking in and out. The staff have always been very good. This is our fourth time renting with Mountain rentals and our third cabin. So far, all have been good, but this is my favorite.

Wonderful Experience!! (McComb, MS) - 11/25/2011

We stayed at Black Bear Lookout. It was a charming cabin, "bear" décor throughout, with lots of room and an amazing view of the mountains and the valley below. Everything was provided to get us started (paper products, etc) and the kitchen was fully furnished - there was nothing we needed that we didn't find. We felt the cabin actually saved us money, because we ate a good breakfast at the cabin, ate lunch in town, and came back to the cabin at night for a late supper - this had to have saved us over $100 a day, with a family of 6. So be sure to consider that when you think about the cost of a cabin versus a hotel. The only thing I didn't rate as excellent was the heating/AC, and it was NOT bad. But the temps dropped to below freezing two nights, and while the upstairs was toasty warm, with a fire place and the thermostat there, we couldn't find a way to get the downstairs room very warm. But there were plenty of blankets, and once under the covers, we were comfortable (and the upstairs was a perfect temp). Be sure to eat on the upper outside deck for breakfast - if you are an early riser, the sun coming over the mountains is spectacular. We must have taken over 100 pictures out on the deck, and at least one will be our Christmas card with the children, that we will send out this year. Also, be sure to watch Channel 20 (I think), the Gatlinburg channel. I found a place to go to get some pottery (Adelwine Pottery) on that channel, and I spent a whole morning there (and way too much money lol!) I could go on forever - if you are wavering between this cabin and another, let me tell you now that you can't go wrong choosing this cabin - it is absolutely wonderful, and we will book it again.

Black Bear Lookout (COLUMBUS,OHIO , OH) - 11/15/2011

This is an beautiful cabin. Very clean and and has the best views of the Smokey Mts. Even had an Black Bear visit when we were leaving.

Beautiful view! (Evansville, IN) - 10/31/2011

The pictures online did not do this cabin justice. The view was expansive, peaceful and beautiful. Cabin was very clean, nice floor plan. Love the downstairs bedroom and bath as this added to the privacy for all of us when we wanted it. Fully equipped kitchen was great. Actually woke up one morning and saw a huge black bear walking down the road in front of the cabin - this made my week!! We will be back and hopefully can stay at Black Bear Lookout again! Thanks for a great stay!
