Description

Seclusion and privacy are the order of the day when you stay at this 1 bedroom cabin. The home is located in a beautifully wooded area, providing the natural splendor you expect from a Gatlinburg vacation.

Inside, this modest yet functional home is located in the Bird’s Creek community and has everything you’ll need during your retreat. The master bedroom is a spacious affair with a king size bed and nicely appointed furnishings; nearby is a separate full bath. A short hallway connects to the living room which has a wood burning fireplace, TV and VCR and a sofa. This space is also shared with the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is fully furnished and the dining room table seats 2.

A private rear patio provides a perfect place to enjoy your surroundings. There is a picnic table and a charcoal grill, ideal for taking your meals outdoors. There’s also a hot tub, perfect for making this escape even more relaxing.

Close but no cigar (Cincinnati, OH) - 1/13/2012

While the cottage is about what we expected size wise, it was missing the small things you would expect, like there was no salt & pepper in the shakers, there is no baking/broiler pan for the oven to cook with, there was no matches or lighter for the fire place, no kindling wood for the fire place, none of the ice trays had been filled. These things are small but make a big difference when the cottage is 10 miles out and the roads leading into town are typical of the Smoky Mountains, steep and very curvy! Please don't get me wrong though, it is a nice litte cabin just more attention to detail would make a huge difference!

Thank you for your review. You are correct salt/pepper shakers, matches and kindling are not supplied items. Please make sure to check our standard amenities/what to bring checklist on the website for a list of suggested items. The ice trays should have been filled and I have also spoken to housekeeping about adding a baking sheet. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again soon!

Good value for the price (Knoxville, TN) - 11/27/2011

I want to say that this is a cozy little unit and it's extremely comfortable and quiet. I spent a lot of time in the little recliner in the living room; it's the most comfortable recliner I've ever used. There were were only 2 drawbacks. The first is that the satellite TV did not have local channels, and as this was a Thanksgiving getaway I really was wanting to watch all the college and pro football games. Fortunately I brought my laptop and was able to stream the games I wanted to watch. And second, the pest control could have been a bit better as I did see a few spiders, small roaches and silverfish. But, overall this was indeed a great value for the price and I would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing in the Smokies (German Valley, IL) - 10/23/2011

This was our first experience at renting a cabin, so were unsure of what to expect. We did enjoy the seclusion. Used this as a home base, to come back & relax after touring various places in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. Appreciated the fireplace, and the ability to cook our own food, to cut down on cost of dining out.

our anniversary stay (Greenwood, IN) - 9/10/2011

I would like to share the quality,and remarkable experience we had staying here. It was peaceful,quiet,and unforgettable getaway. There is so much to do whether it is shopping,hiking,eating,riding horses,or just simply enjoying the many views of the Great Smoky Mountains. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys real nature,and we will definitely be back to stay with Mountain Rentals of Gatlinburg,hopefully really soon.
