Artist Nest (Hueytown, AL) - 1/28/2012
We loved staying here. The house was so clean and organized. The owners really care about their visitors because they have games for all ages, movies and books. I could live there. I would recommend the Artist Nest to anyone...even with the steep drive.

Our stay at the Artist Nest was great! The house was so clean and well kept. You can tell the owner takes pride in her home. We loved all the art and the decor was so fitting for the mountain setting. The view of the mountains was awesome! The biggest challange we had was the driveway which I think would probably be anyone's. I think 4-wheel drive would have been an asset accessing this home. I would like to talk to the owner about some of the art she had in the home. I did find Brandywine Pottery. I fell in love with the leaves!
Family Getaway (Tampa, FL) - 10/23/2011
We came to get away from our hectic lives in Florida for a long weekend in the mountains (two adults and two children, ages 4 and 10). The rental unit was clean, comfortable and calming, just what we needed. All of us enjoyed the hot tub; the views from the decks are wonderful; and the trip back into town was quite short. Yes, the driveway is steep, so are the roads leading to the area, but is wasn't a deal breaker. The floors are squeaky, especially on the stairs and in the master bedroom upstairs. That would be better if fixed, but nothing major. Overall though, the property was close enough, far away enough and comfortable enough for our whole family. Would stay again!
