A river winds past as you recline in comfort; the rocking chair in which you sit sways in time with the breeze. This peaceful vision can be yours with a stay at this delightful 2 bedroom log cabin.
When you enter the front door you’ll find the living room furnished with comfy furniture and an inviting gas fireplace. There’s also a small entertainment center with TV and VCR. This cabin has a watermelon theme in the completely equipped kitchen, where you will find all that you need to do any kind of cooking. A large breakfast counter separates it from the dining room. Beautiful hard oak flooring covers the main floor, completely handmade by a local artisan. This same craftsman also handmade all the cabinets and doors through out the cabin.
Antiques fill the home throughout. There are also lovely country blue curtains made by the owner herself. In fact, the large dining room table is has been in the family for years prior to residing here. The braided rug in front of the fireplace (still unfinished) is one started by the owner over 20 years ago, a physical reminder of the rich and continuing history of traditions vital to this region.
The bedrooms have a very warm feeling each with a king size bed, private bath and plenty of closet space. The master bedroom has a king bed, Jacuzzi tub and TV, while the other bedroom has a queen bed and the laundry facilities tucked neatly away. Each is decorated in a lightly colored country theme with tasteful floral wallpapers and bed spreads. As well, there is access in each, via French doors, to the downstairs rear deck that hosts a hot tub. This is the perfect spot to enjoy your surroundings, from the lush foliage to the pristine river only a few yards away. There’s even a gas grill for enjoying your meals out doors!
